Just got back last night from my trip to Paris over the weekend. I had played the Cheers party there on Friday night. It was like the Shelter of Paris. 500-600 stong in there. Crowd reaction was magnificient. I have never seen a reaction to a song like I did that night when I played "It's Alright, I Feel It"..people were literally crying when that song came on. Everyone in the place was singing their hearts out.
Big thanks to the crew over there for bringing me over and for their sincere hospitality...Greg Gauthier, Fabrice, Sven Love, DJ Rork, Olivier (Distance), Deedee, ...etc...etc, you guys were great and I really look forward to coming back over there maybe this summer.
This Friday Timmy Regisford is playing at Cheers. Past guests have included Timmy, Louie, Frankie Feliciano, Teddy Douglas, DJ Spen, Matthias Heilbronn, and many more.
If you have never been to Paris yet, you need to get there and see one of the most beautiful cities (especially at night) and experience some great music by some really good DJ's. graemlins/beerchug.gif

Yeah man, but let me know what's up next month, probably around Memorial Day Weekend. If not I'll probably take a Monday off and just spend Saturday and Sunday up there sometime next month. I'm kinda glad this happened because driving up in Manhattan and on the LIE would've meant disaster for my car.
Peace

I'll be in "Freedom Country" next August.
Oh, by the way, do they have champagne caves in the countryside in France???? I heard "yes". If so, consider myself officially drunk. graemlins/all_coholic.gif Peace.

one tip: several farmers sell their champagne directly to the customer..... check out the signs in front of their farms, ring the bell, and buy some very nice champagne for very nice prices
enjoy!

Both Moet and Tattinger have fabulous operations. They are in the city of Rheims, one of my fav French cities.

Kev,
We have seen each other a million time here in the city. WHat you said about playing "Its Alright, I Feel It' sounds amazing. I was trying to remember why I hadn't heard of the place when I was in Paris a few years ago and that's because I was there mid-week (idiot-move on my part). I tried to go to Le Queen on Wednesday causae I heard that's the bangin party mid-week. Anyway, I'm the guy who was downstairs at the party in Miami when you and Marlon went over to the Marlin to hear Jay-J. I'm Josh. Anyway, sounds like an amazing experience with people literally crying from you playing a track. I know someone in London that is known to shed a tear of joy on the floor. See ya soon.

Hey Josh, how are you? Le Queen was where they used to do the Cheers party on Friday nights. They are now at Coupole. It's a bit smaller but you can still fit anywhere between 600-800 in there.
It was an amazing sight to see tears of joy like that. I was overwhelmed to say the least... smile.gif

Hey Idancetoomuch! no offence man! I am well aware there's plenty of cool people in France we were just unlucky, we met with some hostile, racist people who you could tell had no respect for us. We also had a brush with the Gendarmes in a bank of all places! But we met some nice people, and have already decided that we will be going back anyway. So please don't think my post was in any way directed you or your friends because it wasn't, I merely patched a peice of my discontent on the end of Jamies post.
Wishing you well my friend.
Peace.

Kev -
We should start a party here like that. I know its not the same, but I have faith that it can happen. 600-800 is a great number for a party. Any larger than that is a little too large with very few exceptions.
