I think the name of the song is called Say It...maybe out in mid 80s. Some lyrics...

why don't you say say say say it
say say say say it
say that you love me
say that you care
say that will always have a love to share

sort of discoey tune in a way. one of the female vocalists sounds like jocelyn brown. her vocals at one point are something like...

ah, so many memories
how sweet love can be
i do i do really love you

so I think I found out what the record is though I can't find a sample of it anywhere on line.

It's called Say Yeah. The artist is The Limit and the album title is Portrait. Gwen Guthrie is featured on the single.

In fact, I'm pretty sure The Limit changed their name to OVS.

That's a really nice record and not too hard to find. It even got a Canadian pressing, which I picked here when it came out.
