After 2 years of collaboration with a friend in Tours, we had our radio show signed due to an average audience of 1500 listenners !

Knowing that the radio can be heard by approx. 600 000 people, that's a good result (0.4%). So we're gonna get paid (not much but that's a start) and my friend's got a record shop in the city so he's taking care of the news and I do the classics and old records.

So, we're now able to play new releases from any label and country (we had to play at least 40% of french music before the show got signed).
We can then sell the copies at the store, which is getting more and more clients from Paris and close cities and has been opened for 5 years now.

When we play a record on the show, we always say that's it's available at the store and have immediate reaction of the buyers the day after or in the end of the week, so we can order a particular number for each item.
For example, we sold 35 copies of Agoria's remix of big fun by KMS the week after it was played on the show. We ordered and sold 50 more copies and we still have demands by our website and by phone.

Also, my friend is know has DJ Happy Faciatum, he's spinning for 12 years now, and does at least 1 party a week and has 2 residencies in Tours, and 1 in Bourges. He plays in big events in Paris and in the South of France. So your copies can be putted in some french celebrities hands.

So if you want to send us CDs, records, even MP3 to expand your horizons, feel free to send it at :

Tek-off Record Shop
JP. RAVAZ / M. SCHOTTE
City Mix
4, rue des Trois Paves Ronds
37000 TOURS
FRANCE

Hit my e-mail if you want more infos or our phone number.

YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAA !!!!

(Also, I needed to tell you that I found via the radio show a guy who sells any kind of funk , Jazz-funk, and disco records here in Tours, at very low price. For example I found machine's Machine for 7 Euros, and Brides of Funkestein's Never Buy Texas from a cowboy in mint condition for 12 Euros. So if you look for something special, just tell me, he can honor almost any back order and has very very rare items !)

2 years of effort to keep interesting a radio show of 2-3 hours was great cause we were different kind. My friend JP has about 6 000 records of dance music of all kind (but mainly techno and house) so his culture is fat.
I'm more of the sex-appeal with my voice.
graemlins/cool_shades.gif You know, like I have nothing clever to say but my voice is really coooool ladies.
But Barry White was even bigger.

CONGRATS biggrinangel.gif This store that you are hooked up with do they have house tracks from 92 and up?
Let me know I have no problem ordering from overseas (as long as it dosen't take forever to get to N.Y) , let me know what's up.

If you want to know what he has in stock and order online, just follow this addy :
http://www.vinylunity.com/disquaire-76.html
Do : "Choisir un bac" = Dig a crate
and choose House.
Unfortunatly, he doesn't have enough time to put the year, but look by title or artists and you'll find some gemms from time to time.
All the records in shop are registered on the website.
Good hunting !

good luck jedansetrop.

Seriously, it is a great thing for you to invest yourself in disseminating our music throughout the radio. I did it for some time, it asks dedication and love of music... I hope your show lasts a long time.

Peace
