Hmmm ... the nastiest one I remember was when I went to Ronnie's under the EL here in Chicago. I remember seeing a couple of roaches running up and down the walls. Pretty much took my appetite away.
Also, pretty much any fast food joint on Madison Ave between Homan and Pulaski, especially the Popeye's and White Castle. Garbage all over the place and dirty counters and tabletops. Damn, damn shame ....

A group of us were in a diner around 23rd street and a rat or 2 went running through the restaurant along the wall across the room from us. A friend saw it first, I screamed and ran - needless to say very few patrons paid for their meal that night.....even now I cringe when I think about it....

I hear you magic,I don't make a habit of going to these places.Just had a little craving for a couple of pieces with biscuits. When I walked in that craving disappeared real fast, maybe it was a good thing.

Chinese resturant in Lodi, NJ. I walked in. The cook holding the spatula looked my way then turned his head and hawked then spat into the garbage on the floor in front of the wok. I about-faced and got the fvck out of there without saying a word.

Back in 1995 went to the Pizza Hut on Western and North in Chicago. A couple roaches lived in the salad bar, plus the floor was overly sticky, the seats were sticky, haven't went back since. I hear it's still open.

McDonalds on 51st in the Chi. I was in the bathroom washing my hands before I eat and I could hear the guy in the stall taking a dump. (Think the 1st Austin Powers movie or Dumb and Dumber) This guy must have had constipation for years, because he was grunting and moaning. You could hear the turds hit the water. Then he came out, did not wash his hands and left. So I think nothing of it. When I came out to order my food, dude was at the register talking about "Welcome to McDonalds, how can I help you?" in street clothes... graemlins/nono.gif

Harold's Chicken on 71st & State - I ordered food from them once, watched the cashier pick her nose and tried to wrap my food graemlins/scared.gif I stopped her, politely asked her to wash her hands. The Heifa had the nerve to have an attitude.
McDonalds on 47th Cottage Grove - homeless people camp out there, security do not force them to stop harrassing the patrons, I've seen the cooks drop stuff, comb their hair, pick their nose and not wash their hands
I observe anyone that cook my food, If I can't see them I don't eat there.

Oh yeah and Italian Fiesta on 71st aint clean either. I worked there for a month. The cooks will drop a piece of pizza on the floor, pick it up and fix it back up and send it out.. seen it with my own eyes. Or they will sell you what they call a "re-heat" a pizza that wasn't picked up and thay just put it back into the oven after it has been sitting there all night. They get ****ed up in the back like it's nobody's business. The cats that work there most of the time are "fresh out" and just need to have a gig to report to their "P.O."

I remember once, my ex called me at work hysterical. Screaming, ranting and raving. It took about a good five minutes before I could calm her down. So she tells me she ordered some Chinese food for delivery. As she began to eat the shrimp fried rice, she bit into something hard like gristle. When she pulled the hard thing out of her mouth it was a cat nail or claw. We thought about taking them to court, she paid for the food with a bad check...
I don't know about this place being nasty but, I was in the Taco Bell, late nite(State/Lake), trying to order a taco dinner(Hey, I was desparate!)from the cashier on duty. I did not see anyone at the register just some guy mopping the floors and the Security guard he was chatting with.
Security alerts him that he has a customer and he drops his mop, rings my order, then proceeds to handle the food-without washing his hands!
Needless to say I bolted. No mop water tacos for me. :(

oh yeah...if you're ever in atlanta NEVER eat at El Azteca mexican restaurants. particularly the one on Ponce.
somebody died from food bacteria because the meat wasn't stored properly. before that person died i would eat there and feel horribly sick afterwards. don't ask me why i kept going back.
funny thing is, you can drive by the restaurant during the day and the patio is PACKED even though there was huge write up in the papers about the mans death.

Taco Bell, Burger King and McDonald's on Chicago and State St. I went to Cathedral High School (1986-1989). If anyone remembers those places - your talking about "DUMP CITY" (literally). For one, the homeless from the YMCA, down the street, would sit close to the entrances of these places and the "Funk Was Enough" to make you go back to the cafeteria in the school. And second, there was this lady named "Crazy Mary" graemlins/jpshakehead.gif who would stand near the window at McDonald's, spit on it, take out one of her breast, rub it on the spit and smear the window. Of course she would stand right near the revolving door when we came in and scratch her crotch and smell it!! No Joke graemlins/puke.gif ! To this day it's hard for me go into any Taco Bell and not be reminded of the "Funk" that would stay in my nostrils for days!! graemlins/puke.gif graemlins/puke.gif
I once had human hair in a Wendy's cheeseburger. Thick, black & long. I remember pulling the half I bit, out of my mouth & the other half was still on the burger.
I can't bring myself to eat at any Wendy's, ever.

How about the Astro Cafe in the Museum Of Science and Industry........The Astro Fries were terrible.......
Okay, this happened to a friend of a friend of mine. If you have a weak stomach, please skip over to the next post. It ain't pretty.
And it's not like the place was filthy, but she had some food at a Vietnamese spot and discovered some wart-like features IN her mouth. She went to the hospital, and the doctor told her to go back to the resaurant and order the same food and bring it back. She did. The doctor did some tests on the food, and apparently the cook was, how do I say it, releasing his manliness in the food. I, too, cannot eat at establishments where I cannot see the cooks.

I heard a version of this before, except they said it was like 11 different types of semen found
.. can't speak to the validity of it though. I also heard that someone once found a turd in the beans at a Taco Bell  I couldn't eat there for years (but I got over it) ;)
Along the lines of urban legend, I heard that a friend of a friend of mine went to Canada to enjoy some full frontal male nudity at a strip club ( I guess men can get totally nekked there) anyway, a stray jockstrap/g-string hit her in the eye and she got crabs in her eye (lashes, brows) because of it. Anyone heard that one before?
