Any recommendations on hardware sound modules? I'm looking for something with a variety of instruments including nice Pianos, Rhodes, Arp, etc.
What are you using?

By the looks of the hook ups in the back of this new unit I don't think I like it.
Investigate the pros and cons.
Happy producing!

Yeah, I've been looking at that Motif. I heard Tritons are a bit to tingy.
My Budget: $5! LOL! j/k I'm just looking around.

I have heard the sounds on this unit.
Also, all those sounds are in Cubase 4 (only) Halion plug-in
Remember yahmaha bought Steinberg.
BTW. Blaze uses a lot of these sounds from the motif. sshhhh!!

if you're into dance you should check the 'acces virus 3 or TI' and the nordlead 3 rack...
Yummy, but expensive :)

Well, this has been on my mind lately, so, I have a few responses.
The Roland Fantom XR's seem to be getting cheaper on ebay. They have good sounds for the instruments you mentioned above and plenty more. I think it's a sampler as well.
Those Nord electro racks look pretty nice for organs, ep's, etc...they're really pricey though.
I like using organ tones for a lot of different types of music. So, I've been checking out the Roland vk-8m. It's kind of a desktop thing but it has the drawbars. It also has some standard ep sounds like clav, wurly, rhodes, etc.
Also, don't forget about those old e-mu vintage & classic keys modules. You can find them cheap on ebay sometimes. Also, I've noticed that the older kurzweil k2's rackmounts have been going pretty cheap. They had a great sound quality and have really deep synthesis capabilies.
