I would have put this on the shelter board, but i cannot get pass that dam ez-board. graemlins/cussing.gif

HELLO FAMILY,

YES! I WENT TO SUMMER STAGE AND I ENJOYED LISTENING TO THE ENTERTAINMENT. I DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TRYING TO GET INSIDE. I FOUND A NICE COOL SPOT IN THE SHADE WITH MY MAN AND MY POODLE. YES SH**T HAPPENS. I STILL HAD A NICE TIME WITH MY FAMILY.

I AM A LONG TIME MEMBER WHO HAVE BEEN COMING OFF AND ON SINCE THEY OPENED. I LOVE THE PARTY AND EVEN I WAS A BIT DISAPOINTED. THE TEMPS INSIDE THE CLUB WERE EXTREMLY DANGEROUS. AS A MEMBER WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED BETTER SERVICE. I DON’T NORMALLY ARRIVE UNTIL 6AM AND SINCE IT WAS A SPECIAL EVENT. I DIDN’T ARRIVE UNTIL 9AM. THERE WASN’T ANY FRUIT OR JUICE NOTHING! I PAID THE EXTRA COST! I DON’T MIND PAYING IF IT’S WORTH IT. WE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LOYAL TO YOU. PLEASE CONSIDER US IN THE FUTURE. IF THE CLUB CANNOT ACCOMMIDATE AIR CONDITIONING FOR THE MAXIMUM COMPACITY LEVEL, THEN IT SHOULD CONSIDER REDUCING THE COST OR PROVIDE WARTER. INSTEAD OF OFFERING HOT COFFEE AND BAGLES, SOME FRUIT WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE. I THINK THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE BEST INTREST TO EVERYONE. 22HRS OF MUSIC... HMMM WHAT DID WE REALLY GET? AS A MEMBER I FEEL NEGLECTED.

22 hours of music, but you didn't arrive until 9 in the morning. Would you have thought it was worth the 20 or 25 bucks had you came around 1 or 2 in the morning and stayed the duration of the party?

What are these people getting from the defense fund?

The lady has every right to voice her disappointments. Nubiansista has supported the Shelter for years and didn't say anything wrong.

Should we start counting the monies people spent over the years at the club.

Plus, she loves the music and is a big fan of Timmy.

It's up the the Shelter staff to turn the negative into positive.

Just because someone is unhappy today. Doesn't mean they are getting a divorce. Just means they need to work on somethings.

Relax.

You should call yourself that for singling out one specific thing when it's clear there was multiple complaints.

Sorry you were dissappointed..

But..
Did you actually expect Shelter to be nice and cool on the 3rd floor?? As far as I've been going there its never cool.. Not saying that this not should be fixed.

The fact that they gave you something even if it was just bagel and coffe is more than any club in this city does..

If you did not want to pay for the water.. you should have gone to the bar and ask for a glass of water...

And as a member you got what every other club gives you as a member reduced admission...

Don't get me started on the water, I had to watch George Carlin last night to ease my mind.

I always heard that the main floor was hot as HAIL and now that problem pops up again after all this time?

Did you ever wonder why it costs so much to keep the club running for such a long time.

Can I come over and open up your frige and turn on all the lights in your crib, watch your TV and play your stereo simultaneously for a bout 2 days?

Peace

Her complaints are reasonable...and she stated them reasonably..not by slandering an organization...but such higher order thought seems to be betond the capabilities of some (Basecore for starters)

the club was hot and ran out of water also there was no fruit and it was 25 dollars...

are those serious concerns yes and they need to be addressed

they are also common concerns at every major nightclub in this city (except for fruit and watre)...especially in the summer

hopefully Shelter will install a new AC system...i also hope that peeps will be willing to pay the additional cost to help buy this unit ( whoa now, lets not get crazy - jujst open a few windows)

my wife & i got there at around 8 am. yeah it was hot, like it always is so we bought gatorade & water, spent about 75 bucks on drinks. at 2:oo pm we limped out of there to go eat. i drank two soy whey drinks packed with 40 grams of protein. we then took a walk to burritoville, stuffed our faces and went back to the club at 3 to dance hard for another 2 & 1/2 hours.

it's easy to blame other people when you're pissed about something that is actually in your immediate control to resolve. we were thirsty, we drank, we were hungry we ate. we didn't wait for jesus to come over & hand us 5 loaves of bread & two fish.

ventilating the club would simply be opening the windows and getting air exchanged in and out IN THE SUMMER ( duh gee Tennesse lets blow in more hot air from outside)

chill out time......

Rules of the road regarding air conditioning.

It is 1 Ton "per 10 people dancing"/including a fresh air duct to bring in air from the outside. The system should be able to replenish the air entirely every four minutes.

200 people = 20 tons. Tons is a term for btu's.

You are entitled to your opinions but leave the name calling out you don't know her thank you:

I took a couple of trips to the roof looking for refreshments and found there was none so another $4 bucks for water since I'm not drinking coffee in 100 degree weather outside and 110 inside.

I see the logic in some of your points but come on, she is not the only person with valid reasons to be frustrated she is a core member to this party. I'm a member as well. The music I already know what I'm getting there but I thought this was a special event or did I just come too late for the complimentary stuff?
