Aaron Dae Live @ Sizzled (Part 2) (http://www.bunchlox.com/mixes/AaronDae_LiveAtSizzled(Part2)_12.12.08.mp3)
Some words from the Sizzled crew regarding the night....
Sizzled did exactly what we hoped it would do: bring house heads and regular old neighborhood folks with all kinds of (good) taste back together in spite of this weird segregated lull in the scene we’ve all been experiencing as of late.
I think the best way of looking at everything that’s been going on as of late is that while all of this infighting and genre-bashing has been going on, the music and scene that prop it up are severely languishing. Realize that while people are fighting on the internet about whether or not some silly subgenre is crap or not, all of the “regular” people out there who can’t tell the difference between Lawnchair Generals and C&C Music Factory anyway aren’t being hipped to the cause, and it seems like we all have forgotten about just having fun.
Remember that wacky thing called fun? We were reminded this past weekend.
That being said, peep out the kick ass feelgood set from Philadelphia transplant and Dae Recordings label boss, Aaron Dae.....
