This morning, the Senate resoundingly rejected the Bush-Cheney energy bill, with 40 courageous Senators voting to sustain a filibuster.
This is a huge victory for all of us, and it was just as close as we expected -- we won with no room to spare.

But now Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist has vowed to bring the bill up again for another vote next week. He's trying to sweeten the pot
with all sorts of pork-barrel favors. He just needs to peel off one Senator to win.

And yours, listed below, are his top targets.
Please call now:

Senator Barbara A. Mikulski
Washington, DC: 202-224-4654
Local Phone: 410-962-4510

(insert Democratic Senator here)

Thank your Senator profusely for his/her vote. Then urge him/her to:

"Please stand firm and CONTINUE TO FILIBUSTER the energy
bill."

Please take a moment let us know you're calling, at:

Your call could make all the difference in holding the line.
Please call right away.
Thank you.
