to be falsely accused is one of the worst things that can happen...a lynch mob usually follows....see "The Ox-Bow Incident" - sometimes when all is said and done "oops" just isn't enough

Timing is a funny thing.

I've been in and out of this one room all day, setting up PCs and packing boxes. During this time, the same individuals have also been in the room doing other tasks and have been there practically all day.

I was struck by the amount of gossip going on and yes, the amount of assumption about others' intentions (especially those of "famous" people) and their personal lives. I'd say about 75 to 80 percent of the conversations I was privy to hear were of the "I heard" type. And I think I'm being conservative with that estimate.

The other thing that struck me (way off topic)while I was in the room is just how amazingly repetitive radio is. I can not believe how many times I heard the same songs over and over and over again. Even those in the room who do nothing but listen to r&b and hip hop (and that was everyone else in the room) were making fun of the radio station and somewhat trashing the "popular" records. I never listen to radio anymore and I'm sure my relevation is no news to anyone.

Men seemingly are more like women these days, just gossip like it aint nothing. Not a lick of consciousness, nor self reflection. Now when I make the following proposition they seemingly cant understand it, "if you gossip about A, what makes me, B, so different?....my deduction, if you'll say stuff, which may be true but not altogether positive about A, U'll do it just as well to B-Z and 1-infinity......(sad)....

when i made a brief cameo in college i had philo prof. say that most(90%)people cannot verify the information that they spread. basically saying that information is a very fragile thing that gets busted up all the time by people not being able to be objective and put thier own spin on it.
