If you get a chance to spin,do you go nuts trying to get hot unrelesed joints like the marquee guys?It seems the hottest of the hottest music is unreleased, only on CDR and played by an elite few.

In reality, I think it really doesn't matter. Unless your crowd is all DJs (zzzzzzzzz), then most people on the floor aren't waiting around for unreleased joints. Don't get me wrong, they're nice to have, but there are SOOOOOO many great songs out there, if you got any skills, you can rock a crowd with classics or obscure shit or whatever. As for NYC, it really only matters in a place like Shelter, where Timmy's set consists of so many unreleased songs that are already Shelter standards, so when DJs fill in they're expected to have at least the big joints. My 2 cents.

Well maybe just a little. I would go to .99 cent white lable bin, for some tracks that have not seen the light of day. Look for those diamonds in the rough.

Case in point was the "Spiritually Speaking" phenomenon last
summer. It seemed that every jock had to have "Gloria's Muse" in their set.My gripe is that the hottest stuff takes too ****ing long to come out.Glenn Underground's (not sure of the name) is it "Only Somebody"?Does anybody know the status of this track.

My 2 cents. biggrinangel.gif Shelter envy among djs is real! When I first heard "Space Rider" last year @ Shelter I said to myself if I can't drop joints like this as a dj I would rather just dance to them.Playing out without key unreleased tracks just seems weird to me just being ohnest.
