Nice - hopefully, the update price won't hurt too bad.

Also, looks like Ableton 8 is coming out soon along with a new akai controller.

What the fvck!

I didnt even have Cb4 a year yet! Nor did I get to come close to mastering it.

I hope this version comes with a tutorial CD. CB4 didn't.

Holly shyt they have the Melodyne technology.
Im waching the demo as I type this.

The pictch correction id awsome.

This version looks hot but Im not sure when I can afford it. Things are tight around.

carry on with your rants CB4 users.

The Steinberg guy in a NAMM video says C5 will allow you to go pitch to midi - I'm sold on that alone.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that means you'll be able to hum, sing or take a sample of a nice jazz solo (or whatever audio you like) while making a midi imprint of the changes in pitch in the audio which can then control any other instrument and be manipulated and rearranged as midi data. That's going to be hot if I'm understanding this right.

Do any other DAW's have that capability yet? I'm pretty sure they don't but I could be wrong.

I already have my Akai APC40 on pre-order. There is a big delay but it should be out by June.

Hi all went to a cubase on tour thing at digital village today
They did a demo on new features in version 5 (also a lot from 4 wich was interesting to someone still on sx3)

I must say at 1st look i was very impressed!
Groove agent drum vst including the step designer
VariAudio the melodyne thing (thats not called melodyne LOL)
side chain sorted
the pro producer pack that comes with hardware
REVerence the convolution reverb
The media bay with the tag sytem that apparently time stretches any sample to the project tempo also means you dont have to import every file saving on processer power?
Loop mash this looks real fun especially if used in a live set like ableton

so many little tweaks and bits that should make anyones workflow better

seems like a great upgrade
Anyone had a good play around with any of these features?
