The new cd "Obrigado Brazil" is indeed another masterpiece from YO YO Ma.The cd consist of different styles of music,Bossa, brazillian and Jazz.I mean wicked stuff!!!.This is def for mature and open minded people.Or if your looking for a different sound, this is one cd to have.Yo Yo Ma has been writing, producing his own Jazz Style of Jazz music for several years now.Anyway, hope you enjoy this cd if you decide to buy a bottle of wine, sit in a dim room with your mate and Im sure both will enjoy a wonderful evening of beautiful music. smile.gif

graemlins/thumbsup.gif very moving stuff
YO YO MA is at the top of his game!!
It won't be long until somebody puts him in the dance mix (if it hasn't already happened)
The new album is Obrigado Brazil is incredible. Grammy Award type stuff from Sony Classical.
Did you know he did cello solos for the movie soundtrack Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (which won a few Grammies)...

he is such a diverse player. has anyone seen him do his brazilian project, or heard the album?
I saw his Appalacian Journey DVD with edgar meyer (an amazing folky classical bassist) and mark o'connor, which was amazing.
