This is pretty neat how it works out.

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST
It takes less than a minute.......
Work this out as you read.
Don't cheat and read the bottom until you've worked through it!
This is fun!

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (try for more than once but less than 10)

A friend of mine sent me this the other week, and I, erm, sent him back a proof of how it works. Also there's a website that can "read your mind" and guess which number you have in your head which I debunked. My girlfriend was less impressed, I'll admit.

To dispel your fears Ardi...

(Note, if you're over 99 this trick ****s up)

Number you get out is 3 digit:

(2x + 5).50 + 1752 + y - z, where x is how many times you want to go out and y is 1 or 0 depending on whether you've had your birthday or not, and z is your birthday.

i.e. 100x + 2002 + y - z

100x gives you the first of three digits.

2002-z is going to be, if you haven't had your birthday yet, your age. If you have, then 2003 (i.e. 2002 + z) minus z is your age.

QED.

Next year add 1753 or 1754 and hey fisto, it's magic.
