Well here we are months after the war and no WMD have been found and people still believe we had a justification. Well lets go back to our original stand and examine our position. Our President originally said we wanted Sadaam to cooperate and give up all his WMD. WELL he didn't have any!!! I repeat no WMD so who is still 100% behind our reason to going to war with IRAQ. Now they've hired Kay ( A Republican In Bush's Pocket) as there Inspector. I don't trust that guy as far as I can throw him. And finally I go back to a statement I made months ago. If America believes we should go and invade any country that kills or treats a part of citizens as second class citizens then those same people must agree that AMERICA should have been invaded when they use to kill Blacks and treat them as Second Class Citizens! And that's only 40 or so years ago!!!!!!!

You're absolutely right, though - it was a complete con to get access to the oil and to boost the economy and to boost the president's approval ratings. The question is this: we marched, we wrote to congress, we made phone calls, we organized -- but we were paid no mind. What can we really do to fix this terrible political facist situation we're in? It's unfortunate that the democrats are only the "lesser of two evils" but have you seen this article "Republicans Sense A Sweep" (http://www.villagevoice.com/xrd.php?url=www.csmonitor.com/2003/0729/p02s02-uspo.html) ??

We live in a society that is fundamentally flawed from both a political and social perspective.

I really, honestly believe that at this point our only hope is an all-out, looting, tax-evading, people-getting-killed revolution.

Yeah it's only going to get uglier if Bush is elected for a second term! I just can't believe they wanted to impeach Clinton for lying about getting a blow job while this President took us to war under false pretense and Americans still support him. What the **** are they putting in the water!!! I actually had an argument with a friend because he was convinced when Bush said that Iraq was involved in 9/11. I bet he would still defend Bush even though it's become clear that the Saudis were the ones involved in 9/11. :(

Save The Date!

August 29, 2004, The World Says No to Bush
On every issue – from environmental regulations and international treaty participation to workers' rights, civil rights and civil liberties – George W. Bush has pushed for unprecedented and destructive changes in U.S. foreign and domestic policy that even more sharply favor corporations and the wealthy, especially Bush Administration supporters, at the expense of the people of the world and our environment. Meanwhile, the Bush Administration shamelessly uses the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001, to justify its aggressive and militaristic policies. In its most recent attempt to exploit the grief and fear provoked by September 11, the Republican Party pushed back its 2004 convention to August 30 through September 2, 2004, and will hold it in New York City, not far from Ground Zero. We will not be silent: On February 15, 2003, millions of people all over the world took to the streets in protest with the message, The World Says No to War. On August 29, 2004, we will come together in New York City and in cities throughout the world to declare, The World Says No to Bush! More »

none of this will change until we change are fundamental belief in our way of life. we need stop believing in 'unlimited' growth and globalization. the way we consume needs to change. our belief in bigger and better and more is antiquated and self-destructive. it's a miniority of people who push this on us to support their lifestyles and we buy into and try to imitate them. we have more than enough and still want more.... maybe i have no idea what i'm sayin graemlins/conf44.gif pardon the interuption. peace.

I agree 100% - you are right on point Square. All of this is just smoke and mirrors to distract the public from what's really going on - the rich and powerful keep getting more rich and powerful, while everybody else gets screwed.
