Y'all watched this? Scary. Very Scary. Oprah had this ex-burglar on to talk about what to do (and what not to do) when securing your home.
There was a story about about a sham moving company that took all of this homeowner's entire stuff (in the truck and all), closed up their business and took off. The lady has to start all over.
Also, a large percentage of homeowners leave their back doors open and keep their security system off. graemlins/jpshakehead.gif
I attempted apartment buying a few years ago. I didn't buy, but If I do buy an apartment, I have one major rule. NEVER, EVER buy an apartment in the back of the building. Especially if it has a fire escape. I had bad experiences living in the pj's and being in the back (and with NO fire escape).
