Lately I have disobeyed my own rules to not view, whether TV or Newspaper, US media!....It has advantages and disadvantages.

Funny thing is, disobeying this rule has opened my eyes further regarding the slant on US media and the stark reality of 90% of the world living. A half-truth is, or has the potential to be, as worse as simply not telling a story at all.

EXAMPLE:

Lately there's been vague and ambiguous talk of the outlaw of cluster bombs, Geneva mandate.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/12/12/sprj.irq.human.rights/index.html

(aaaahaaa!, most US Press failed to mention that THEY are using the clusterbombs on IRAQIS).....There's more to my post than this, the cock-suckas wont even show how the lil kids from Palestine ride on the back of the tanks that spray gas in their houses (not to mentioning shooting, raping, looting by troops and other carnigage committed by the bastards). Other info about Iraq that you'll never know about or be privy to see by CNN or BBC....(sad, because people are sleep solely because WE rely on the media FOR AN ACCURATE OR ADEQUATE view of world affairs--our EXTREMELY picture oriented society).

since these are 2 popular forms of meida.....

Yet, you have to imagine, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, a worse, far worse, picture then the one being painted before you (pictures and all).

Hk, do you read the Manchester Guardian?

http://www.guardian.co.uk

It's as close as a major daily newspaper comes to an independent press, I think (although I'm sure some would argue that the "left-wing media bias" is all over it). Look for Robert Fisk's stuff on Iraq--he's renowed for making military men and women uncomfortable, and making himself unwelcome in the process...

EDIT: Oops, sorry--Mr. Fisk is at the Independent
