Mine is based on my # 1 favorite song of all time "No Favors" - Temper...What the reason behind everyone else's signature?

Mine was inspired by Dj Steve Loria - Los Angeles , Everytime i read it, it reminds me how lucky we are to have house music or any kind of music ..
Great topic ..
Mine changes often ...
I come back to this one 'cause it's a reminder to stop the overthinking and trust my feelings more.

the one i use for posting was a note my friend wrote to herself on the inside of the front door to her house.
on my personal email i use this, which i heard in a yoga class:

We are what our thoughts have made us, so take care what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.
--Swami Vivekananda
i guess the theme here is that the circumstances we percieve each day are intimately tied... even born of the thoughts we have in our heads. when you change your mind, you can change your life.

The composition and care given to the genre of Disco and R&B classics is long lasting and truly filled with beauty. Today's compositions are a hollow joke in comparison. Most of the jocks that I know put the bulk of their emphasis on the newer house tracks. I felt and feel compelled to make certain that the haunting and thoughtful beauty expressed by Disco and Classic R&B remains in the forefront of what's being played. So I decided that going forward, though I may not be able to instantly change the world, I will always do MY part to uplift this music. I'll also remind or educate others about these songs and exhort them to do their part(s) to keep this music in plain and current view within the context of our scene.

Tomorrow right down the street from my place is the largest marijuana policy reform rally in the world, Seattle Hempfest! http://www.hempfest.org/
We will be down there all weekend supporting Melo and the countless others who are unfairly persecuted for association with the the Lords Holiest Herb.
I'm going to be shouting "Free Melo!" all day now! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

post modern future movement
it's about taking all your musical tastes and ideas and bringing them together rather then seperating them... which is pretty much what postmodern art is...and i like the sound of future movement because it can imply a action: either as a group or as physical movement. dunno, i can explain it better when i'm drunk. graemlins/conf44.gif

Mine is from Erykah Badu, MAMA'S GUN, "Bag Lady".
I love the words to this song. Reminds me to put down the @#$! I'm presented with and acquire as I travel through this world and not claim it as my own.
I believe in cause and effect, but I don't believe in fate. I always have a choice and am in control of my life.
Plus Erykah is just da bomb!

Mine should be pretty obvious to all here, and if it ain't, you gotta get out more. Anyway it's a quote from a song by the NYC Peech Boys called Life Is Somthing Special.
I truly beleive that music is somthing special. Music has the power to bring people from different walks of life togather and helps us celebrate diversity. Music helps turn pain and sorrow into joy. I don't know what I would do without music..well..........at least soul music. :D

pretty selfexplanatory, mine.
[been using it for about 2 months now; it's the entire foreword (and the funniest i have ever read) quoted from "Australiaville", a stormer of a book about an englishborn modern-day Sydney cabbie.
on January 18th, 1788 the First Fleet under Capt. Arthur Philip made its initial landfall at Botany Bay, a few kilometres south of what is today known as Sydney. on board of the First Fleet's eleven vessels were 550 marines and sailors, as well as 564 male and 192 female convicts, most of whom were to become the first settlers on Australian soil - if you discount an aboriginal population of around 300.000 souls at that time.]
