Watching Mr. Rumsfeld yesterday made me very uneasy. They can't find Saddam and he says Syria is being uncooperative by letting people through their border. So if they don't find him in Iraq... Syria is next. Is this the beginning of a long drawn out Middle Eastern war? Maybe a World War?
I hate war. graemlins/jpshakehead.gif
if it depends on the Neo-cons solely : yes, we are in for a treat, and by political and if needed, military means, the Middle East countries are gonna be forced to listen to the US and their partner in crime, Israël.
I'm curious to see the reaction of the UK towards this..There have been signs that the UK is not willing to follow this military logic in other Middle Eastern countries..
your words weren't cold yet, or this popped up :

yeah, they changed the law completely.. I have to be honest : i don't know exactly what exactly these amendements consist of, but of what I've read, they've effectively killed the spirit of the original 1993 law..it's now impossible to try people like George W. Bush..I'll do some more research
.

yes it's a very dubious move...from what i can recall only people/leaders from "not good" countries can be tried...what criteria are used for selecting these countries and who will make up these criteria is not clear at all..
update: i'm informed Belgium has to be connected/involved in some way, otherwise it's not possible to try someone...
