please don't tell me that now i gotta go drop some loot on a new mixer.
alright i have a a question for all that might be in the know ( cuz i sure as hell don't know).
Do mixers have a fuse/switch inside that can be replaced or reset?
there was some weird power outage that happened in the building i live in.
only half my apartment lost electricity though.
but the thing is that now my mixer, pitch control tape deck, and receiver do not work at all, my turntables are fine though.
it's weird cuz all my mixing equipment is/was pliugged into the same power strip.
i guess my main point here is to find out if i will need to purchase a new mixer, tape deck and receiver and or have them repaired.
it's obvious this happened because of the power outage incident.

Its hard to say for sure b/c without opening up the equiptment its impossible to tell exactly what effects the power outage had it. But usually this stuff is repairable. Depending on what type of mixer you had , it may be to your benefit to buy a new one b/c the repair on it may be almost the same cost If its an older model like Bozak or Urei usually the repair gets more costly, but worth it. The same goes for the tape deck and reciever. What type of equiptment was this?

You may well have one inside the mixer, and sometimes they screw into the back of the mixer near the outputs.
You were lucky you didn't blow the fuses inside your Technics because they definately have them, and they tend to be a little too sensitive I blew mine after getting a power surge at a gig! It completely ruined the night!! I subsequently upgraded them for something a bit more heavy duty.

i'm really particular about the kind of tape deck and mixer i have and or choose to own.
(tape deck) JVC TD- W709.
it's the only one i care to own that i can actually afford. there was one that came out right after this one that is really similar but not as nice.
all my friends own that one. i prefer to have this one.
(mixer) Numark Dm1750RM -PPD-
the only mixers that i really, really like are the Numarks from this series.
i'm very fond of graphic equalizers.
(receiver) old Sony receiver bought used.
no big deal.

Go to radio shack or any electronics store. You find out the voltage of the fuse on the base of the fuse.I love the classic Numarks.I have a new mixer, but I am ready to pull the Numark back out.I just do not have enough channels.I only can use the main two for cd players, due to the other channels being mono.
I can put ya on to a few spots to find Numarks,if ya need another.

yessir, i want to find that same mixer i first learned to spin on.
it's from the same series as the one i have except it has a sampler and an effects processor.
it's my brother in laws and he ain't letting it go for nothing.
there is no other mixer out there that i love more than that.
i used to spin Emergency by Traxmen with this crazy ass echo effect on it, sounded so dope.
priceless teenage memories.
once again thanks a lot, you have been a big help to me today.

graemlins/respekt.gif The Numark PPD DM 1775, 1975, or 2075 all would work as replacements based on what you specified......JMJ
