dhp chicago update

got a pm from serge informing me that the event at spot 6 has been cancelled. the owner has replaced them as promoters on saturday nights without prior notice. they found out by walking into the club (last saturday) prepared to play and someone else was on the decks.

i asked serge to find out if they can do a final event this saturday. waiting for his response.

That's too bad maybe they can find another spot..Hollywood East (hollywood & broadway)temporarily and have someone standing outside of Spot6 on the night of the event to tell people that the party has been moved.

i think it's only right to keep people abreast of current status, especially when there's a major change. with all the talent and resources on this board, i thought it would be pretty easy to find another location quickly. maybe i should've called individuals directly but what's done is done.

none of us are getting a full salary with benefits for our efforts. that's why it's even more important to be mindful of comments that may be interpreted as insensitive.

I mean really, like when he posted about why George Bates wasn't given a spot. Unnecessary post. That man did not ask for any PR and he took it upon himself to make that man a topic of conversation til the man himself had to get on and state that he did not ask for anyone to get him a gig. That started a bunch of s**t on the board and what did he get out of it???????????

I'm not trying to defend anyone's actions but the drama has been dissolved to some extent. JM3 said his words were misinterpreted. At this point, I take it as that. We all are in this together..(i think). I wish nothing but success and positivity for everyone. I hope we can leave these things in the past and move on.

Dr. Phil IT'S DISKOQUEEN, and I am not replying to this particular thread only. If you read my original post, I mentioned something to the effect of this happening everytime he posts something. Nobody on here HAS to like anyone else, but you don't HAVE to post every negative thing you think either. Perhaps you missed that point. He has been a friend of mine and what I said, I said as a friend. If he doesn't like it, tough. Nobody's picking on him. But maybe you can transfer your aura of positivity on him. As you mentioned before you think we are all in this together, apparently he isn't in this and has voiced that he doesn't want to be, yet responds....got some 'splaining to do. Second if you have a issue with what I said, PM, Email, even call me. You have ALL 3 points of contact. You could have been a TRUE friend (most importantly- an adult) and used any of those means to state your feelings on it. not post it here.
