How do I capture a single frame from a video camera and move on my computer. I know it can be done, but I am not sure of the steps. I actually need to capture a couple of frames that I have in video tape.

The programs I have access to are real player, windows media player, and a couple of others that I don't really use. As a first step, I know I need to use the video out of the camcorder and input that to my computer.

Exacts hows would be greatly appreciated.

Peace

I believe you need a proper video card. ATI has some products on the market that come with the card and software to capture video. Do a google search. Keep it jack

Jackit is right, you need some kind of video capture system. I'm sure there are fairly cheap versions of this these days. You could probably find a video capture card which takes a fire-wire cable which could connect your computer directly to your camera.

alot of these kinds of cards will come with some simple editing software and maybe even a DVD burner as well. Perhaps something like this:

While I do work with video alot, I don't use consumer equipment like this so make sure you know that it will meet your needs.
