my brother saw it too, and liked it very much. he's very critical about his movies, so this might be my next stop at the movies.

Yep, it was one of the best I saw in a long time, worth checking out IMO. It doesn't try to explain the high-school shootings, it just puts us right in the front seat which is an incredible effective way to make people contemplate...

This movie surely needs a bump...
Check it out guys, all of ya'll who saw Bowling for Columbine should check this out. It's a different approach, but it makes you think just as hard...

thanks for the reminder. van sant is one of my favorite directors and i'm actually very interested how it all plays out on film.

isn't this loosely based on Alan Clarke 's film "elephant" where a non- identified killer shoots randomly at citizens thru POV shots?

Now I think of it, there's even a scene in the movie where one of the murderers plays a (non-existant IMO) videogame which is nothing more than shooting harmless citizens in POV shots, in a cold white background...
