Just going through some old records - got to the nu groove pile, this is one of the labels that got me into house I think the label took house in a new direction. My choices include:
disco tech - KATO
file #1 - utopia project (rheji burrell at his finest)
kennys jazz - powerhouse 2 (took me years to finally get hold of the 12)
tech trax inc - tech trax
open house (forgot the title, its got a blue label)
to start the ball rolling...............

That reminds me...I was in London back in 2001 and heard a remix of this that was pretty good. Who did the remix? Anyone know?

I wish I had more from this label but out of the ones I have:
Reasons To Be Dismal-Foremost Poets (have the SBK.One version of this)
File#1-Utopia Project
Laws Of Chants Vol. 1-Vandal
I have other tracks on compilations though and stand outs from them include:
Song Of The Siren-Aphrodisiac
Annihilate-Lost Entity
How Many Times-DTR
The Poem-Bobby Konders
Fall Into A Trance-Critical Rhythm
Your Love-Aphrodisiac
Breezin'-Basil Hardhaus
I've Just Begun to Love You-Roqui
Network Records released a 4-CD box set of Nu Groove classics a few years ago. Very nice compilation if you only have a few of the 12ins like me.

@Deani:
I have the NY Housin' Authority album on cassette somewhere and its fantastic stuff - side A vocal material, side B instrumental and slightly more experimental.
I wish I had it on CD. IIRC the vinyl version had fewer tracks, although I may be wrong, this was nearly 14 years ago.

Deani, I asked the exact same question on another board nearly a year ago. I haven't heard anything from either him or Ronald Burrell since about 1992. Have they retired?
After so much fantastic music, it all suddenly went quiet.

Wow,
What a great question... I was just reorganizing my collection and ran across several Nu Groove tunes. Once upon a time you could buy a Nu Groove blindly and be guaranteed to have a good record. It kinda reminded me of Trax Records in its early days. A very gritty but soulful sound.
I really liked:
$1.15 Please
NY Housin Authority
Tech Tracks Inc
The Poem
House Negroes
The Sound Vandals
Hey'all
In addition to those mentioned:
Metro - Angel of Mercy NG005
Hou'z Negroz - How do you love... NG100
Two amazin' tunes
peace
