I know it sounds corny, but some of those album covers and sleeves were classic.

My alltime favorite:

The Brothers Johnson: Lookout For #1 (1976). The cover was slammin enough, but when you pulled the sleeve out, and saw George and Louis shadowed on top of the slide with their guitars, It was OVER!!!! That's my favorite. Still to this day, it's a classic! Why? That picture defined funk!!!!!

For those who are gonna list the P-Funk albums. The P-Funks may need a category of its own.

Good topic! For Christmas last year I gave out a book by Michael Ochs titled "1000 Record Covers." Awesome book. Some of the best rock and R&B cover art. I found the book in Restoration Hardware...Go figure. My favorite in said book is Betty(Ms Miles)Davis' "They Say I'm Different" 1973. Any old schooler knows this girl was VERY different.

There was a series of six 12" singles back in the 80's that Futura 2000 did artwork for on the Celluloid label. The backs of these singles form a puzzle. I have all but 2 of them and have no idea what the others are.
