the Labels House (name taken from the Warehouse in Chicago),and Garage (taken from the Garage in NY),have for some reason, come to be thought of a certain rythm or style.This is a complete misconception,and the time has come that the Dance Music world really open their eyes (ears).
I'm not from Chicago (but I know many from there,and have read much about it). I am from NY though,and I can tell you that the Garage was not one rythm or style,but many.
Many different BPMs,
Instrumentals,Vocals,Eclectic,Electronic,Jazz,Gosp el,Euro,Carribean,and so much more.Its really time to stop using these terms incorrectly.These clubs we're all about Dance Music of all styles,and about succesfully mixing these styles.How then,can House and Garage be reffered to as one style ?
