Yeah man, been dabblin' for awhile now. Played a lil in my Father's band growin up. (Trini Steelband) Also played in the percussion section for a Steelband when I was living in Flatbush. I've sat in with those cats a couple of times at 667, Jammed with a partner of mine on Monday (which would acct for the swollen hands, sometimes I hit too hard)

Actually there was a Latin Jazz band at Chocolate Monkey last night that let me sit in on Clave for like 4 songs. Dude they had was a bit off. Think he had a bit too much to drink. He was gettin that 3-2 all mixed up. The Conga player had it wrapped tight so there was no room there. He thanked me and offered for me to come and take lessons with him. I love it but don't take it seriously enough.

Thinking of having some live congas on one of my tracks..
I'm playing the congas on the key board but, it don't sound as good as a real conga..You know what I mean?
Keep playing kid and take the lesson if you need them. There are plenty of cats making tracks that need conga players..
holla!
