In the UK the original was popular amongst the heads whilst on import (DJint) and then the same week/ or week before the original got a British release after quite a while on import, the Style Council released their version. When the S Void got a UK release all the unclued up fools thought that was a remake as the SCouncil version got all of the national radio airplay.

Not as good as the Sterling void version, the only mistake Paul Weller/DC Lee etc made. Really ****ed that up though, lost some respect from me.

It was a similiar situation with `It's All Right' - a classic house track that a UK pop band (Pet Shop Boys) got most of the credit for. I never was a fan of the Pet Shop Boys - having blatantly ripped off Soft Cell - they also butchered my favourite song from Stephen Sondheim's `Follies' (Losing My Mind).

DC Lee did Move all-night though, that Weller's a lucky bugger...I would have crawled over broken glass and all that... :D

PSB's should have been shot for 'It's Alright'

I am not a big fan of the PSB...BUT they have championed underground dance music...remember the shows they did on Radio 1 playing mixes by (then unknown) DJs like Sasha? Plus Sterling Void got paid in full for It's Alright...
