Poor kid.
But Mo Cheeks, always a class act, saved the day. Now if only he could get those knuckleheads in check.

I remember the singer Robert Goulet botching the national anthem before the second Muhammad Ali Sonny Liston fight. He also forgot the lyrics & he was an established recording star.

I felt very sorry for the Young lady(I did not catch her name)who forgot the words to the National Anthem at the Portland Game on Saturday nite, But Like others have said, Maurice Cheeks came through hard, But i have to say this, The funniest cat to ever attempt to sing the National Anthem is Carl Lewis during a New Jersey Nets game in the early to mid 90's, When his voice just gave out like my man Raymond St.Jacques who played the part of a singer in Sophicated Gents(A Very nice TV movie in the early 80's Which Melvin Van Peebles directed), Carl Lewis chumped his smits hard(Very embarassed), But Offered to sing the National Anthem again if he were givin another chance to and cats were booing, That shit was crazy funny.

Mike Barnes Mike I remember Carl Lewis' embarrasing attempt at singing the national anthem. The Nets were playing the Bulls at the Meadowlands. Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen wanted to cry because it was so funny. Derrick Coleman & other Nets openly laughed at Carl. A classic moment that I would love to see again.
