In this corner, all the way from the BOOGIE DOWN, NYC...weighing in at BILLIONS OF FANS...

...sparking MULTIPLE ART FORMS, including GRAFFITI, BREAKING, TURNTABLISM, SLAM POETRY, SAMPLING...

...inspiring NEW TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT, a CENTRIST PERSPECTIVE for divergent points of view...

...the SURVIVOR OF MULTIPLE PLOTS FROM GOVERNMENT INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES, the RELIGIOUS ESTABLISHMENT and MAJOR MEDIA...

...the SPARK OF TOLERANCE AND PRIDE among SEVERAL DIFFERENT DISADVANTAGED PEOPLES, INTERNATIONALLY...

...the WEALTH-BUILDING COMMODITY FOR GHETTO PEOPLE...

HIP HOP!

And, in this corner...ALL THE WAY FROM...wait...no one can really agree where it was started...okay

...well, WEIGHING IN AT...wait...can you call an Italo fan a "house" fan...not truthfully...ok, then how about Disco fans...hmmm...Electronica...Lounge...I see your point...okay, nevermind...

...sparking MULTIPLE ART FORMS, including...um...well...whew...okay...

...inspiring NEW TECHNOLOGICAL...what...oh come on...I know House was built off of Hip Hop technology, but I need something to say here...shit...ummm...move on...okay...

...the SURVIVOR OF...shit...

...the SPARK OF TOLERANCE AND PRIDE AMONG...oh...I see...well, House is instrumental in REINFORCING the CHRISTIAN/SALVATIONIST ethos that contradicts the desire of minorities and gays to "be free"...I'm just sayin' tho...

...the WEALTH-BUILDING...gack...sorry...snicker...the WEALTH-BUILDING...gack...snicker...I'm sorry...I can't get this one out with a straight face...I need a minute...cut to a promo for The Sopranos while we write something...snicker...

The whole time Richie was kissing Wyclef's ass, while it was obvious that Wyclef had no clue what he was talking about, in terms of electronic music.

Ass backwards statement. That's like saying your torso created your arms and legs. Hiphop didn't create those things. Those things are what hiphop is. Along with mc'ing. People who are not really into hiphop say stupid shit like that. They don't understand those things are the DNA that make up hiphop. People listen to 50 on the radio and think they know hiphop.

Oh...by the way...stop acting like an asshole. You talk waaaayyy too tough sometimes.

You don't know shit about what anyone else knows. YOU BARELY KNOW WHAT THE FCUK YOU THINK YOU KNOW.

You talk waaaaayyyy too much shit, Eargasm. Don't think I didn't see that "companion" topic you started. You think I can't read between the lines?

Debate is one thing, but you come at people on some ol' character criticism shit. Last time there was a thread that sparked discussion, you took it to some immature and hostile place like this and you got banned. Back again for more bullshit, huh?

Were you able to take it as well as you dish it out, I would let it pass, but you always come with some empty hostility. It's lame, it's bitch and now, after the second time, I'm taking it personal.

And don't come at me apologizing in PMs either. Come with the respect you undeservedly receive and there's no problem. Keep that shit up and I'll have to "buy you a beer".

Those things ARE hiphop and not a biproduct of hiphop. I never called you any names. I don't have anything to apologize for. And that thread was sparked as much by the "House is dead" rhetoric around here lately as by your statement. Wasn't anything personal.

You always have a mouth full of who doesn't know this or that. That isn't a critique of a statement - that's a condemnation of an individual who made the statement - and you always play dumb when others call you out for it.

Either learn some simple 12th grade rhetoric or learn when you can make a point without insulting someone. That, or just own up to the fact that you like talking tough on this message board. Either way, avoid doing that shit with me from now on and we're cool.

That shit with Magus was/is personal. And he was just as much at fault for that shit as I was. And it was isolated and has nothing to do with this. I have no beef with you.

One thing I dug is how DJs would play Hip-Hop 12" on 45rpm and then pitch them down to go along with the house tempo. PE's "Don't Believe the Hype" and LL's "Jack the Ripper" were two cuts that went really well in a set like that.
