the liaisons dangereuses cut is 'avant-après mars' isn't it, seem to recall hearing that in the mix. i wasn't paying close attention when listening to this mix, but i was brutally pulled back in around 54 minutes into it [SICK!!!??? it is!], and once more an hour and 6 minutes into it. think i'll have another listen later today.

and i'll add that roland louis to my want list.

klas </font>[/QUOTE]Sir Klas,Roland Louis is a music lover which
worked in a shop for tourist near Beaubourg in Paris .He sold some water of Paris (I don't know who sold it because it's very dirty). This man should be like many people from carribe,he liked dance music ,go to the 'paillotes'(night clubs for carribean community). He's not a musician, but he has got many contact with the most famous carribean musicians such Roland Brival,Jacobe De
varieux,alain jean marie,henri debs...He produced
some zouk/cadence records during the 70's.In 78
,disco rhythm didn't go in carribean's kind .They
prefered dancing on zouk ,beguine, salsa or cadence. However,he produced a mini lp(5 tracks) on
the more experimental afro-label:sinafrica.Owner
shoul be influenced by underground from NYC,because his was to produce album which fusion
afro or carribean rhythm whith a punk/experimental
influence .Now ,his productions are the most wanted in france.Roland louis did a commercial failure, they stoped after the first pressing(afro/carribean music industrie had no big possibility,in generaly first pressing was between
500and2000 exemplaries).One year after,producer
and record shop owner Guerard,a white guy fan of
carribean music, wanted to produce some disco
in his crossover label, guerardisque. He knew roland louis (he had already collaborated whith
him)and ask to produce disco.IT gave 'Carribean
disco',a 3 tracks ep.It was a big succesful
for Roland louis .Today, Roland Louis is a happy pensioner I've met 2 times in the record shop
owned by a friend.
So,Mr Klas,Carriobean disco is quite easy to find ,but the other is realy hard to find .
Peace.

http://deephousepage.com/sadar0803.ram Lanier - 25 Hours

Sounds like Sadar is playing the Nick the Record edit off the Disco Juice Volume 2 Sampler 12" from Counterpoint Records. The orig 10+ min version w/vox is on the sampler too, as well as the super stoned Super Jay Love Theme by Super Jay. None of this is on the comp, at least not on the vinyl version. Stupid rare P&P biznass.

What's up klas.
The tune at 7:40-12:17 is "Georgia Peach Disco" by the JB's. It's the last album the JB's ever made called "Groove Machine" (1979) on a label called Drive which was a subsidiary of TK Disco.

The tune at 15:22-16:35 is the Sister Sledge version of "As" on Cotillion Records (1977).

The tune at 18:27-20:37 is Curtis Mayfield's "Right on the for the Darkness". I forgot what album it's from, but I know it's from the early 70's. Mase sampled the beginning of the tune for "Tell Me What You Want" w/ Total.

The tune at 25:32-29:00 is from the Liasions Dangereuses album.

The tune at 53:40-55:30 is "25 Hours" by Lanier on P&P. You still might be able to get the re-edit from www.dustygroove.com (http://www.dustygroove.com)
