View Full Version : Jackie Moore - "This time baby"
I'm really feeling this song right now. What a great song!!!! Here are the lyrics:
This time, this time baby
You for me and me for you
That's the way it's gonne be, yeah.
Oh baby , OOOOh Baby
We won't be in and out , up and down all around not this time.
It'll be me for you and you for me, yes it will.
Chorus: This time, this time baby
We won't be in and out of love, in and out baby
I've got love on my mind
Ain't no use in me wasting time
I've got you on my mind
I ain't fixin to play no games
Baby, you're my life give me one more chance to prove my love
Baby you're so fine, I promise to be true, only to you. Oh this time
Chorus
I've been selfish at times
Always trying to blow your mind
Using you was so easy
I've used you a thousand times
But baby you're my life give me one more chance to prove my love
Baby you're so fine, I promise to be true, only to you. Oh this time
Chorus
Well baby, you're my life give me one more chance to prove my love
Baby you're so fine, I promise to be true, only to you. Oh this time
Yeah well not this time baby, well. We won't be in and out , up and down all around not this time.

A definite classic. Julian Perez used to tear this up well into the 90's on B96 (when it was still decent).

Now this is a way to remake a song. The O'jays version was nothing like this. Then John Luongo turned it out with his mix.The adlib vamp is classic..."We won't be in and out..."

yo , i am sorry the o'jays version was slamming and recieved alot of air-play and club play. underground clubs did played jackie's version; and remember disco music was ending and a bad word back then.
also, jackie moore did do a good job for disco but the o'jays was for soul and for dance.

FK & Matthias Heilbronn did a great remix of an updated version of this by 'Pray For More'(feat Annette Taylor) on UK's Defender records.
Ironically picked this up last week for £2!

yo michael, the o'jays at the time was more soulful w/ m.f.s.b. doing the music.
i was in high school and age 17 and it rock the lunchroom.
i was younger than and now at age 42 listening to it , it sounds even better 2day. this is not to take away from ms jackie moore. her version is tight for dancing.
it's like listening to "look me up" by Blue magic and someone does a copy.

I still have to give Jackie props for doing a damn good remake.
