This Sunday, Grand Pianoramax will be blowing up Joe's Pub in a special Easter Sunday performance. I'll be there & hope to see some friendly faces! Tickets are only $12, and these guys put on a hell of a performance.

* 7:30 PM - Sunday, April 12

"The Grand Pianoramax project takes the broken beat concept to another level and delivers a slam dunk fresh in-the-pocket groove." –Flavorpill [USA]

“Funky, flipped-out, beat-heavy tracks that pop, swagger, and strut across everything from post-bop jazz to hip-hop to electronic music, all the while staying in the pocket enough to be accessible as well as innovative…The Biggest Piano In Town actually is–and then some.” –All Music Guide

Winner of the first Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Solo Competition in 1999, Leo Tardin conceived Grand Pianoramax as an all live keyboards/drums duo with guest MCs/vocalists, blending powerful analog-synth bass lines, syncopated keys, organic drumming and freestyle spoken word improv/slam. Taking full advantage of this minimal and flexible set-up, Leo Tardin took up the challenge of developing hybrid stylistic directions in their most essential renditions by joining forces with first-class NYC artists such as drum masters Jojo Mayer, Deantoni Parks and spoken word poets Mike Ladd, Celena Glenn, Detroit-based activist/rapper Invincible and French folk/hip-hop artist Spleen.

A one-year New York Magazine subscription, a $9.97 value, will be included with your ticket purchase for this show if you purchase from the Joe's Pub website.
