SENSE MGMT

On MAY 2nd, 2003- FlatBlast Entertainment, Slang Recordings, Jagstone.com, Player’s Extreme, and Sense Productions are proud to present Legendary NYC DJ, TIMMY REGISFORD of CLUB SHELTER in his first Chicago appearance along with VINCE LAWRENCE at SUPERLOUNGE, 209 W. LAKE ST. CHICAGO.

TIMMY REGISFORD, SHELTER NYC
For over a decade, legendary turntablist Timmy Regisford has garnered admiration and respect globally with his brand of soulful dance music, which places the emphasis on eclecticism rather than the predictable and the linear. His DJ sets are soulful and deep, while he isn’t afraid to venture into the realms of more experimental rhythms. His flare and panache on the decks, not only technically, but programming-wise has rightly earned him the well-deserved moniker, The Maestro. Each week at his residency at Club Shelter (NYC), he regales his admirers with his marathon 12-hour sets that feature an array of rhythms.

Admission to this event is free. Just RSVP to info@senseproductions.com or fdmg9999@hotmail.com. Doors open at 9pm. Party continues until 4am. Must be 21 with ID.

superlounge is a nice spot and all, but isn't it a bit on the small side for timmy? i'm afraid the joint will be so crowded that all i'll be able to do is bob my head. http://deephousepage.com/smilies/frownyes.gif

Superlounge has a decent system,it's just not tweaked right. It's one of those expensive turbosounds set-ups.You basically have to have a tech there on-site.It's a very delicate system.Frankie uses a Turbo sound set-up for the HOB sets. It's too damn top heavy for me at Super lounge.

Give me some quad bottoms, double mids, and some big ass JBL Radiaotr horns.A classic 3 way set-up is fine by me.

I know that spot is gonna be packed, but I have to check my mans out.I will have a one up on a lot of folks here who have never heard the man at home.

I can't wait to hear Tim. I got some of his tapes from a friend of mine in college and I've enjoyed his mixes ever since. I've never heard him live though. The Superlounge has a decent sound system but it is pretty treble-heavy. It really needs to be tweaked like stated earlier. I heard Theo Parrish at the Superlounge and he beat the hell out of their system. And what's with that big cage they put the dj's in?

I am excited for this.

Probably wont be too much room to dance I imagine, but it should still be tight.

How early do you recommend getting there?

I went to a few events there and got there around 11 which was dead.

What time is Timmy starting?
