That shit was off the hook!!!! Experiences like that make me damn proud to live in NYC!! Two systems, two bars, plenty of fun syrup to go around.

Big ups to the people who pulled it all together. It felt like somethin straight out of a movie. 150 people deep packed into a subway car pulling into Union Square catchin people on the platform madd off-guard with expressions that were priceless on their grill!! they were like, "Well, we can beat 'em or join 'em." They joined us. I had a smile from ear to ear the whole way.

Next time we should plan a system run off a car battery. Hmmmmm.

Yo I heard about that party. Some cat came into the club last night and was telling me about it. I was Dj'ing and once he said you the party was on the train I think the guy was just drunk. He continued to talk about it but I was like yeah whatever.
Now I see this thread and Im like so he wasn't drunk! lol.

As I read the post Im sitting here really thinking how wild a party on a NYC train would really be..

I would love to hear more about this party.

Can you inlighten us on some elaborate details?

Was there any pictures?
Will there be another one?
Who came up with this concept?
How in the world did you hook up a sound system on the train?
Who was the DJ?
Was there a host at all the doors welcoming people to the party/train?
On the entire ride/party was there no NYPD to stop this?

Do tell.....

Keith -
We met a while ago at that spot on Washington. I was playing a Nasty house set downstairs.

Anyway, there wasn't a dj. ust a guy with a laptop attached to a big boombox. The energy of the people present made it magical. Heard about it on this board, so I'm curiosu as to why no one aside from myself seems to have caught on. There were a couple of Bang heads there incl. Lori and E.

All in all, there was little room for improvement. Like I said earlier, I would have set a system up with like CD Decks, amp and speakers all plugged intoa car battery powered system. I'm a dj and certified houseaddict, so I'm always looking for ideas and ways to improve shit especially music. Plus, I'm never satisified. This was one of those rare occasions that I had a smile from ear to ear for practically the whole ride. It was really somethin to see.

There is a sight to check out streaming video. They even interviewed me cause my crazy story of getting there. I'll tell you in a later post. i got Chinese delivery gettin cold. I'm not sure if its posted yet though. Hit me back and I'll let you know what the url is.

I couldn't make it due to other plans, but the video tells the story! Check it out http://www.digitalrecipies.com/yattastuff/20030920_qtrain/ to see it.

I'll post pics from my boy Gabe, who puts on these parties every few months.

Next one is in October.

Holla </font>[/QUOTE]Yes, it was @ Caviar. It was only for a minute so I can forgive you THIS time. Hell, if you were sitting across from me on the A train, I might not even recognize you either. I know your name though.

Anyway, this guy Gabe hooked shit up on the Q and there was no 5.0 interference (surprisingly). There was one point where we pulled into a station and our car was parallel to the token booth. We caught the clerk's attention and hoisted our cups of TRUTH to him. He literally did a double take!! He had never seen anything like it. It was hilarious!!!
