Monday check in - How's the 3rd day off work....

Man Raare, I am chillin' here in the house, bangin' "thousand finger man" and enjoyin' my Sunday off! I am in full denial that I have to go to work tomorrow, so everything is as it should be... graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I didn't go out anywhere this weekend-the weekend of August 24th was my birthday, so I needed a full week to recover from that mayhem. I'd like to see what other people have done though-I heard there were some good parties last weekend. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

...and now I move on to "hesitation" by Mya & the Mirror (reflex mix 12")....

Worked nights over the weekend.
Last night was the only weekend night to go out and Sam Burns at The Underground Soul Solution at Red was it.

At a friend's house now 'cause I'm tired.
This weekend alone I've already driven over 300 miles-without going any farther than DC.

There is absolutely nothing going on here at work.

Friday my girl and I went to my cousin (Rick) bday celebration. Drank (my share) of Bohemia graemlins/all_coholic.gif . After that went over to Stevie B's. Torin was on the decks bangin' the nu and old. D.H.P. represented big time.

Saturday cleaned out my basement. I spent most of my afternoon throwing old furniture away. Made dinner (spaghetti in a red wine meat sauce) at my moms. Started watching Lord of the rings (Towers ?) but fell asleep through most of it. Went home so Milz and I could change.
Got to "Fresh" and Cordell was finishing his beatdown only to have Craig Alexander beat the kids into submission. Downstairs Kennedy Octane was setting a nice vibe to lead into Sean Smiths set.
Walked down the street to Spot 6 and caught the last Sean Hernandez singin as he mixed "Cerca de mi". Downstairs I ran into Frank Cano Mr. and Mrs VROD and met Discogoddess. JMJ was throwin' down behind the 12's. To exhausted to hit Harry's but i'm sure it was tops.

I'm trying to get it together after hitting Stevie B's Friday night. Result = Great party + hangover. Two hours late for work Saturday morning.

Saturday night - Spot 6. Great to see everybody, and it was a true pleasure to play as part of the DHP Labor day weekend's festivities. I would love to do it again. Result = Great party again + no hangover. Behaved myself, otherwise there wouldn't have been......

Sunday night - Slick's. It looked like a "Who's Who Of DHP/Chicago there! Result - Yet another great party + slight hangover.

Today I've got to get ready for my Fantasy Football Draft, which is tonight. May also play golf this afternoon if weather permits.

- Friday: got the party goin at about 4:00 in the afternoon. by 12:30 a.m. we ended up at a joint party between 2 seperate houses. met some new people who welcomed my friends and i with open arms. after we killed off a bottle of Tequila and the rest of our beer, our new friends tok it upon themselves to make sure we always had a drink in our hand. a good time was had by all.

- Saturday: (aww yeah) Belizean B-Day party at the lake on Montrose. i saw family and friends that i haven't seen in 10 years or more. we got the party goin at about 2:00 p.m. til about 11:00 p.m.

i have never seen that much food at a family cook out before in my life. everyone ate like 3 plates while there, and took home at least 2 plates each when they left and there was still mad food left over.

we played a short game of softball. i hit a home run my first at bat, and a double my second and last at bat torack up 4 RBI's for my team. we won 10-5.

after the cook out my cousins and i ended up at a Belizean night club til about 5:00 in the morning.

- Sunday: lounged around the crib the whole day/night.
I was invited to another Belizean party (you know how we do it) but i chose not to go. my body was still aching from all the hardcore partying the past few days.

- Today: rain or shine, my parents will be hosting a family BBQ. (it's on once again)

Just woke up about one hour ago and boy I feel pretty good. I thought I was going to wake up hungover cause I was pretty smashed last night. DEEP definitely went off. graemlins/all_coholic.gif

My plans for today are to do NOTHING. I'm going to enjoy the rest of my day by getting something to eat and then making it a Blockbuster night. ;)

hey Raare, i definetly go to hear your latest mix on sammyrockmusic.org...basically for me, it was pretty cool...got a few used records this past saturday and later that evening, went to check out Harvey at Hyde Park Cafe which was a very good night...lots of insturmentals and dubbed-out records ...one highlight was him playing this housed-up remix of digital underground's "dowhatyoulike"...sunday i took it easy and paid a visit to my aunt and uncle...then today, i went with a friend and my brother to the beach and did a bit of jogging...we then headed to a Japanese restaurant and ate some tempura with a good amount of wasabe (that made my day, i really got off to that wasabe! :D :D )
