The White House has given an exact time for Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq - or face a full scale military attack.
Presidential spokesman Ari Fleischer says if Saddam and his sons refuse to go into exile by 4:15am Bagdhad time tomorrow (12:15pm AEDT) that will be his final mistake.
However, the White House says US-led troops will go into Iraq to look for suspected weapons of mass destruction, whether the country's leader goes or stays.
Iraqi government officials have repeated that Saddam will never leave and say the families of the invading troops will cry tears of blood before the conflict is over.
