Cut me some slack jack, I just moved here two months ago! ;)
But yeah, I try to hit up the few down here I know of a few times a week. Second hand tunes is annoying though so I am trying not to go there anymore. Way overpriced common records. Dr.Wax on the other hand actually gets in fresh stuff and is cheaper.

I got there around 1.30p , looked like a lot of the good stuff was already gone, i did manage to spend around $70, found Rodney Bakker_I Want To Hold You 12", some OM Lounge CD's , nothing else too exciting.

I first showed up @ 10:30 am only to see a sign reading that they won't open 'til 12. Doh!! By the time I got back from picking up and feeding the kids from my moms. I made it back by 12:30. That was still late. I managed to get a hold of some decent stuff (P'taah, MAW, Jepthe Guillaume) . Saw this one dude with a whole bunch of Compost l.p.'s mad1.gif . I still have 3 crates of stuff I'm trying to get rid of. I aint about to write details on what I got (Kevin Yost, Josh Wink etc)to busy  , if anyone wants to swing by the crib to check out what I got give me a ring graemlins/acclaim.gif . Prices range from $3-5 dollahs.

I got there at about 11am. Stood in line for an hour playing games on my palm pilot. When the doors opened everyone casually walked in and began digging. If you were not there for the first 15 minutes then you missed all the good stuff. I walked out with 36 records (after listening later, I threw out about 8). Then I went upstairs and purchased a few things. They were giving away "spin the wheel" tickets to everyone who purchased something. The wheel gave you a chance to win different prizes. I spun the wheel and got the best prize offered (a dustygrooves shirt). :D

It would be nice to have that kind of thing in nYc more often than a record convention that is filled many common items. But then again I think NYC is drying up.....
