...do people still go into parties, sit by the speakers and record mixes with hidden recorders?

Just curious ...

somebody did it at Shelter last year and it was posted here on DHP. Then some MAW cats asked for it to be removed cuz it had some unreleased material on it. Then everybody freaked out and started accusing so and so of this and that. It was quite amusing actually.

As for live concerts, I'm sure people are still doing that, as there has always been a weird little black market for such recordings.

yes, because i do it...but it's not up for black market - i just feel that many of those i cherish most don't realize the magnitude of their influence on future generations of jacketeers...my mission is not to sell, distribute or promote, but inform and document much later...

i've actually told a few of my beloved dj's about my "stealth" and they were cool with it...

anyone paranoid about me showing up at their spots? you're so vain...i bet you think blah blah blah...

...someone has to tell the story, huh? I agree with you! With today's technology, it would be great if everyone could record keepsakes of their own sets...if they don't already.

That would be a good feeling for me to learn that someone had "secretly recorded" one of my sessions...

graemlins/thumbsup.gif </font>[/QUOTE]...and that's what it's all about...cats i love don't even think about recording their sessions and no one ever knows what's gonna be memorable or not so it's best to be safe, right?

i'd rather oversee the smithsonian's version of house than to allow moby to do so...
