HELL YES

3) Bucs offense still got issues (did y'all forget)?

Apparently so.

4) My Colts prediction (Supe-bound) is progressing right along.

Whatever....

5) Priest Holmes in da house! Best back of this era!!!!!

Opinion are like behinds....

6) Jamal Lewis's 295 yards were against Cleveland!!!!!

So what he plays for the ravens, who gives a squat.

7) Not a big Giants fan (except Will Allen), but I hope they eat some Tuna tonight!

Oh so you have no love for Amani Toomer at the very least? Dallas will lose.

Peace. That Eagles game was so ugly I couldn't even watch it. The Bucs have ZERO offense, I mean what the hell was that? In flipping past the Bears game all I could think of was Upliftdisco's comment about how signing Cordell Steward was a commitment to suck this year - I was laughing as I watched him just pick up where he left off.
Jets are gonna CONTINUE to pay dearly for all those bad off-season decisions...stupid! graemlins/conf44.gif I still ain't happy that the Giants let Juravicious go and that was last season!

I agree with everything except Kordell Stewart. The Bears have definitely made a commitment to suck and their GM, Jerry Angelo, is doing everything in his power to make it happen. However, while watching them against the Vikings yesterday I came to the conclusion that he's not a bad quarterback. The problem is that he's been given nothing to work with. Their offensive line is crap. They offer little protection and can't open any holes for the runners. On top of that, he has to work with the worst offensive coordinator in the pros. Kordell and Anthony Thomas are going to take the fall for Angelo's ineptitude.

Kordell's only problem is ego. He should have sat on the bench in Pittsburgh. Quarterbacks get hurt and backups often have to finish the season. He may have had a chance to finish his in December instead of September.

The Eagles are in a funk. Yes McNabb was horrible (to say the least) I don't know what's up but I am not going into panic mode & call for the benching of Mcnabb. I hope we can right this ship before it get's out of hand. The Skins are 2-0 & after tonight the Giants will be 2-0. Again I'm not in panic mode at 0-2. However 0-3 is an entirely different beast.

i beg to differ about the ego thing with Stew. he had a comment last yr about Turnover Tommy who continued to throw ints.....he said that if he had made those same mistakes that TT had, he'd be on the bench...which is true. Cowher(Coward) still stuck with TT still.....now let's look back at the beginning of last season. Stew played 3 1/2 games b4 being benched. now the defense gave up a combined total of over 800 yrds in the 1st 2 games but all of the blame was placed on Stew. now the steelers lost yesterday and all i'm hearing is that the defense could've been better and the offensive line is bad BS. where was these excuses the 1st 2 games last yr? Turnover Tommy is back to his old tricks with the turnovers in which he AVERAGES 2 per game. he will have over 20 this season, just watch. everyone is so hyped up on the 50 passes per game BS when the steelers were always a smash-mouth running squad, even in the O'Donnell days....they are not the rams....and kats think that they're going to win the SB? what a joke.....

yes, qbs get hurt as in that cream puff Maddox who didn't get hit that hard against the Titans. Stew came in and scored 16 points within 2 min and could've won the game had he had more time. they went from having a pro bowl QB to not trusting him in 3 games when the WHOLE team had a breakdown...........

Article on Kordell's confidence:

KORDELL'S KONFIDENCE IS ALREADY SHOT

Rarely in the history of the NFL has there been a quarterback whose performance in any given week is influenced heavily by his performance in the preceding week's game.

But Bears quarterback Kordell Stewart has brought to the position a mindset that allows him gradually to build on success, and quickly to wallow in failure.

In Stewart's Pro Bowl season of 2001, Steelers offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey brick-by-bricked Kordell's confidence level, relying on the running game and switching to the pass once opposing defenses were obsessed with stopping Jerome Bettis.

Consider the facts.

In a week one loss at Jacksonville, Kordell had 181 yards passing and two picks. After the 9/11 postponement week and a week two bye, Kordell had only 105 yards passing in a 20-3 win at Buffalo.

The next week, Stewart had 151 yards passing in a 16-7 win over the Bungles. The following week at K.C., Kordell had 141 yards and his first touchdown pass of the season.

In the Steelers' "breakout" win at Tampa, when the boys from the 'Burgh first were recognized as a Super Bowl contender, Stewart threw for only 100 yards, with two picks. There was a touchdown pass in that game . . . but it came from Jerome Bettis.

With the team at 4-1, Stewart had four interceptions, an average of less than 140 yards passing per week, and as many touchdown passes as the Bus.

And that's when it happened. Mike Mularkey somehow coaxed Kordell into taking advantage of the looks he was getting. In a high-profile Monday night game against the Titans, Stewart threw for 252 yards and a touchdown on the way to a 34-7 win.

From there, Stewart's confidence continued to grow. Until, of course, it was shattered (again) in an AFC championship game loss to the underestimated Patriots, when Stewart threw two late picks (three total) as the Steelers' Super Bowl run came crashing to a halt.

The consequences of that title game tanking carried into 2002, landing Stewart on the bench after only a few weeks, and ending his career in Pittsburgh.

So when they signed Stewart in the offseason, the Bears knew that they were getting a good physical specimen with a delicate psyche. Although the team arguably didn't spend enough time tailoring its offense to his specific skills, there were constant efforts to get Kordell in the proper mindset. Indeed, we got a phone call at one point from a member of the Bears front office regarding our criticisms of Kordell's struggles with John Shoop's complex offense.

And after a week one debacle in San Francisco, quarterback Greg Olson candidly admits that the team's primary challenge this week has been rebuilding Kordell's confidence.

What Olson doesn't realize is that Kordell's confidence can't be restored quickly. Stewart never will rebound from a bad game with a good game. Instead, the Bears need to let him fade into the background for a few weeks (as the Steelers did in 2001), and hope that his confidence slowly will regenerate.

The problem in Chicago is that the Bears don't have the horses to carry the running game while Kordell limits his throws. Given the news that speedster David Terrell will be getting more reps, it looks like the Bears' plan to get Stewart's head screwed on straight by letting him throw the deep ball, like he did late in the 2001 season to Plaxico Burress.

It won't work. Kordell will overthrow and/or underthrow Terrell, resulting in more picks, more losses, and (we predict) a hook for Stewart by the middle of October.

if special teams didn't give up 14 points.....the Troy Brown punt return and the Kris Brown blocked FG then they would've won....

McNabb his played poorly, but Im still not sold on his surrounding cast. He has mediocre recievers to throw to as well as mediocre running backs. I think the Eagles' success in the past has been due to and awesome defense and underrated defensive coordinator; but now the defense is getting older and losing players to free agency. Until the front office gets McNabb a real reciver or a workhorse running back, the Eagles wont win the big dance.

For some reason McNabb stays in to pocket too much. I dont know if hes trying to proove he can be a pocket passer or if the offensive cordinator has designed it like this. It surprises me how few rollouts the coordinator uses. McNAbb should use his feet more to make things happen.

I'm damn near hoarse from screaming at the TV. What NFL kicker, with a three-point lead and 00:11 seconds to play, KICKS THE GODDAMN FOOTBALL OUT OF BOUNDS??!?!?!!! I nearly drove to Giants Stadium and hurt his ass.

As much as it pains me to admit, The Cowboys played some spectacular football last night.

It's their offensive line.

The Cowboys O-line DOMINATED the Giants. They made HUGE holes for the running game and gave Quincy unlimited time to throw the football.

We've gotta make some serious adjustments for next week.

We need Pettigue (sp?) back for starters. Get some damn accupuncture and get those back spasms under control.

Tiki - don't get me started.

This is still my team though.

We can't afford Hamilton hurt and we gotta get Ike Hilliard back in the flow - Amani can't be expected to do it all.

After that comeback...what a waste! AR15firing.gif

</font>
I agree that Kordell isn't the real problem. Offensive Coordinator John Shoop IS. Every team in the NFL knows the feeble, predictible Bears offense. Run straight up the gut on first down. Second and 9: Kordell tries to run with little success on second down. Tough to run when there are no holes and the defense knows your offense better than you do. Now it's third and 8, so the Bears throw a three yard slant pass, and expect the receiver to make up the rest of the first down yardage. Fourth down and three - Enter Brad Maynard to punt. Imagine four quarters of that EVERY WEEK. I'd rather slam my dick in a car door. Slightly less painful, and at least my dick would show signs of improvement before next Sunday. The Bears are now 0-2. PHUCK JOHN SHOOP AND HIS STUPID PHUCKING OFFENSE!!! I have spoken.......JMJ AR15firing.gif </font>
They will go 0-6 before picking up a win. I completely agree with your assesment of the bears offense pitiful. My Chiefs on the other hand are butter. </font>
Chiefs = Dick Vermeil. St. Louis Rams + 4 years = Still the best offensive scheme in football, now appearing in KC.....JMJ
