Texas raised, Chicago based "SISTA STROKE" has done just that.

Having been performing duties as DJ/Producer/Remixer for over 9 years, this entertainer established a reputation for showcasing her signature "strokin' beats" style, and musical collaborations. Sista Stroke's talent is based, and rooted in Breaks, Hip-Hop, House, Jazz, and Jungle. Though doused with a bit of R & B soul, rock, blues, alternative, and P FUNKJ. These musical sounds capes are the fodder for her record label entitled... "LIEF (pronounced "life") HOUSE MUSIC" named after her son.

Sista Stroke's DJ sets are known coast to coast for being some of the most motivating, and spiritually uplifting experiences induced by a DJ of her caliber. She is often booked as a prelude to some of the hottest acts to date such as... Tortured Soul, Joey Beltram, King Britt, Derrick Carter, Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, Method Man, Boo Williams, Mark Farina, Gene Farris, and Super Jane Collective (Lady D, Colette, Dayhota, and DJ Heather). Which explains her hardcore following of fans in New York to the Midwest, the South, Mexico, Australia, and the West Coast.

Her original tracks (Mother Tongue #8, D'lectable Rec.) are being given the Critic's nod of approval, and are being remixed by the likes of [The Professor] Johnny Fiasco, Gene Farris, and TenBar. She kicked in 2004 as the In-house Remixer for Mother Tongue Rec. and Bachelor Recording's, and unleashed a raging' stack of bootlegs (for the lucky one's that got them) in Miami at the 2004 conference.

With artist's such as Colette and Deep Child coming to her for remixes, and UR Chicago listing Sista Stroke as the Next 20 Artists/Musicians To Watch (see UR Chicago-November 13 (December 10-2003 issue, page 27) for the next wave of masters, you can see why this woman is on her way to being a household name for the underground and everything that lies above it.

Sista Stroke is currently in the studio working on her first (yet-to-titled) full-length LP, which she promises will be "nothing anywhere near of what people may think�"

Keep an ear out for Sista Stroke's new mix-cd entitled, "30 Minutes Of Stroke". This DJ has prepared a funky performance, which features a festive selection of original tracks, remixes, and of course special ingredients supplied by industry associates to fill your appetite. Her main course will fatten your appreciation for some sho'nuff soul feasting, featuring some down home "NIGHT MUSIC", some piping hot "LA PUSSA" & the world's famous "PUFF PUFF BACK" & "PROTOTYPE" finger licking remixes to keep you movin' & shakin'.
