what's the opening cut?

.... and not to be picky, but isn't persia's "inch by inch" a little more recent than 1983?

Nope. Persia came out in the late 70's.

The opening cut is not Persia - Inch by Inch.. anyone know what it is??

the one i'm interested in is the one with the timbales in it. ray mang did a cut that is almost entirely based on that segment.

the persia cut is near the end of the side of the tape. i'm surprised that it came out back then since the drums sound so, well, quantized.

If I'm not mistaken the second cut is "With friends like you, who needs enemies." can't remember who it is by.

If it is the same cut, the version played by frankie was a 12" with three versions on it. The one he played was the instrumental.

There was a "Who needs enemies..." track on one of the old Canadian labels (Hi-Bias). I believe it was a three track EP, could be what you're looking for.
