From the streets of Chi-town, Southside, wild 100's comes the household name Boolumaster. The Master started spinnin in 85, but his buzz started in the club scene in 96 after moving back to Chicago from Atl. Grinding 6 nights a week at different venues, Boolumaster has parties rocking with his own style of blending hip hop, rnb, reggae, ol school, house and disco. This street buzz caught the attention of radio PD's (Program Directors) in the city. After hearing a demo, the rest is history. Boolumaster hit prime time radio at 5pm, Monday-Friday in 1999. His versatility and style of mixing is unmatched. Often imitated, but never duplicated, his fan base ranges from 6- to 75-years old.

The Boolumaster Power Mix at 5pm (WPWX 92.3 FM) is the ..1 rated hour on Chicago radio. Boolumaster was voted 1999s ..1 mix show DJ for the 1st Annual Chicago Dj Summit. Chicago & Northwest Indiana voted through a poll from the Truth Magazine Hip Hop Awards, Boolumaster the ..1 mix show dj in Chicago, 4 years in a row (2000-2004). He was also named the 2005 Global Mixx Midwest Dj of the year.

Boolumaster produced an additional daily mix with the 8am Boolu Breakfast Mix in 2004. Some say those mixes were his best work to date. The Breakfast Mix went on to be the highest rated hour in that morning show based on Arbitron. Boolumaster stepped down from the Boolu Breakfast Mix in December 2005 due to the heavy work load and the opportunities of internet & Satellite radio.

Boolumaster has been blessed with unparalleled talent, he is a household name in Chicago, and now its time for the world to hear the MASTER do his thing!

Julius The Madthinker

If you close your eyes, open your ears, open your mind, and let your body flow, you will find yourself in a new plane previously unexplored. Seamlessly blended tracks vibrate your spine while soothing your soul. Many people refer to the genre as house, but Julius the Mad Thinker makes it home. Approaching each endeavor with heart, soul and passion, Julius builds you up gradually through loops of energy bursts and just when you reach your climax, he drops you back to a lounge state awaiting the next climb to the peak.

With Julius the Mad Thinker, you must “Witness the Dynamic” . . .

This illustrious dynamic was first identified by the founder of Large Music, Jeff Craven, when he invited Julius to open and close the first annual Get Large party at the Winter Music Conference. From there, John Davis, a top NYC promoter and co-founder of Body&SOUL, witnessed the dynamic when he came upon Julius and installed him as a resident of Sunday Sessions in NYC. Chicago house pioneer Chip E, witnessed the dynamic when he invited Julius to be interviewed for house music documentary, the Unusual Suspects, to which Julius was the youngest interviewee to appear. And NYC’s Undaground Archives Choice Award gave tribute to the dynamic when Julius was awarded the “Best Emerging Talent” recognition.

First exposed to dance music in the sixth grade, Julius went on to become a DJ and producer in 1994. Since that time, Julius has developed a charisma behind the turntables that can only be described as a dynamic that fills the room. Coupled with “the Mad Thinker” title, which was given to him by MC Miles Bentley of Rec Center, Julius makes no move as an artist haphazardly. Be it the tracks he plays, the order in which he plays them or the EQing which brings out a melody or rhythm in a whole new way – all these elements which comprise his dynamic are meticulously plotted throughout his improvisational creative process.

As the co-founder and partner of the internationally renowned promotional and DJ collective, 3Degrees Global, and a resident of the 3Degrees “Some Call It House . . . We Call It Home” tour, the dynamic has been witnessed throughout the most notorious clubs of house music’s homeland in Chicago, including Smartbar, Soundbar, Sonotheque, Ohm, The Note and Zentra. Across the nation the dynamic has been witnessed on the main stage at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Marques Wyatt’s DEEP event in LA, Soul Revival in Boston, Devotion at The End Up & Pink in San Francisco, Club Five in Washington DC, Pearl at Nikki Beach in Miami, Kevin Hedge and Louie Vega’s Roots at Cielo in New York as well as stops in Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and France. In addition the dynamic has cross pollinated with house legends via Julius DJing alongside Frankie Knuckles, Joe Claussell, Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Lil’ Louis, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Derrick May and Ron Trent amongst others.

As he continues to manifest this vision in music, Julius says, “My purpose in this journey of music and life is to help others get to places that they never imagined possible, and as a DJ, I’m here to live that message as an example.”

Gene Hunt

When one looks back into the history of Chicago House Music, one man's name seems to pop up in many scenarios. That man is none other than Gene Hunt, a legend to those who know where House Music has come from, and an innovator to those who are new to his sound. His landmark track, "Living in a Land" is considered by many to be one of the best Chicago Acid House tracks. Gene about the track: "It was just another night in Chicago. I was at the house hangin' with Robert Owens and I decided it was time to hit the studio. I grabbed my 909 and we headed over to Armando's place to borrow his 707 and 303. Armando had left his 303 at Adonis' place so he jumped in the car with us over there. Adonis wanted to come with, so he grabbed the 303 and the four of us drove out to the suburbs to record in Mark Imperial's studio. A few hours later 'Living' was done!" Another seminal Acid House track was "Acid Trax" by Phuture (DJ Pierre & Spanky). When Gene was doing a residency at Photon, Pierre & Spanky swung by and asked him to come mix this track they just laid down. An original demo version is said to have clocked in at almost sixty minutes long and Gene's edit is the only one that made it to vinyl. The rest is Chicago House history. With tunes out on Trax, High Octane, Housetime, Nite Life Collective, and Contaminated in America, as well as gracing European labels such as Hybrid, Djax, Loop, Svek, Trainspotters Nightmare, Nepenta, Pro-jex, Step 2 House, and Primate with several seminal releases. This man is truly an innovator and continues to pave the way for Chicago and the rest of the world's music to come.
