It just does not seem right that there was not much resistance, and Baghdad is quite possibly near falling. It also seems to me the coalition of allies has lost focus on finding it's prize just as they had with Bin Laden. I hope this war stuff is over soon so we can focus on the home front. so much needs to be addressed, and has been neglected since Clinton left office. We need a stimulus economically for this country, (not just for corporations) we need to help people find employment in rewarding job settings, and most of all a health care system that is not the servant of Insurance companies or the doctors who have been robbing innocent people of a basic right given to us by the creator himself HEALTH.

by your capitalization, and lack thereof, well, I wont start....

Hee hee, you think its over.....

I can tell that Americans are much smarter than I thought, especially by the way that many seem to be depressed and feeling bad about themselves in society....(rightfully so).....Um, are you guys thinking about the ramifications.....( smile.gif ).....Yo ass should be!

Speaking of The Creator, let's sit back and watch what happens the next 5 years(incoming SARS), war over my a?s!...Your leaders have left a lot dead and homeless with no families....you do the rest of the math.....(or ask yourself what would you do if the shoe was on the other foot, and very well maybe within 10)

Brace ya self!

Brace ya self! I did not say it was over. I said it looks as if Baghdad could fall soon. What we should have done in the first place is worried about here. By the way I did not help elect Bush to office he is not my leader. There is so much to worry about in this troubled world especially disease and pestilence. I am just hoping for an end to such a grim time. War is discouraging, especially when we could be repairing our bruises on the domestic side. It also scares me into realization that if this war does end soon, and (here is the big if) we can stabilize the situation in Iraq then jackass Bush gets reelected once again. What would that mean??? More war, more economic downturn, more anger from the whole world, and less work for the working class.

My comments were not aimed at you Vin....

and I agree there's much domestic work that needs to happen here.....like democracy(which the elections show that its STILL non-existent)....

hells yes!!! millions of votes were just thrown out last time, but gore lost his home state. Nader did not help things any. Even though Nader's plan may have been great I just does not work, so now we have a want to be Hitler that says it is alright to invade a country premptively because someone quite possibly may be a threat to us and our sister Isreal. So if North Korea decided to invade South Korea, or even China Taiwan is it perfectly fine for them to do so.(even though these countries were all one at a time) I thought that is what we went to war for the first time??? I guess I was just totally disillusioned....

I sense an ambush of some sort by Sadaam and his thugs. If not, then either:

A) All of Sadaams troops pussed out on him.
B) The U.S. opened up a big can of whoop ass on them.
C) Both A and B

C) Both A and B I think they did puss out on him. The whoop ass happened too. The scary thing is where do we go next?? Do we go to Syria, Iran, or North Korea? How long do we occupy Iraq? Finally, Has our nation even addressed the issue of why muslim men are willing to give their lives for the destruction of our nation?? Shouldn't we be addressing that not just calling them criminals, or terrorists???

the war may be over soon...but the effects will be around for generations. The majority of the Iraqi people are going to hate America for the rest of their lives. This hatred will run deep for who knows how long, but it wont happen until at least the grandchildren of these people are gone. IMHO.

By the way, I am from Texas and I HATE George Dubya.

-Benjamin Franklin I dont feel the Iraqi people hate us. I think that if we f up and do what Bush says we are not going to do then they most definitely will. I just hope the occupation of this very wealthy nation is short and dignified.

And how would you feel if someone started bombing your backyard? You probably would feel some sort of malice toward them regardless of their intentions.

A. this war is not over yet
B. there's a risk it could go on for quite a while maybe. On the Al-Faw peninsula there's still stiff resistance.
C. The reaction of the Iraqi people will also depend on what kind of governement the US will install. I don't think the Iraqi's will be happy to see the US steal all their oil.
