(Not interested in job ... just curious) You noticed that too? The message they're sending is that this is basically a shit job with little pay that they want some fresh, naive lackey to fill.

In other words, it's a job for bitch boy? icon_rofl.gif

That's the impression I got. graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

I didn't use "bitch boy" in my interpretation though. Hahaha

They definetly need help, did you ever try calling to speak with someone? All you get is menu's with messages and voice mail, email. Then some of their real audio files are 10-20 seconds long with long blanks between tracks and speed changes and back spins. That only wastes time and server space with useless info.

If I lived in NYC and had the time and really didn't need the money.. I'd damn sure apply.. who am I kidding think of all the free records you'd get or at least a serious discount.

It's funny all the negative views around this job offer...

... but what do you think is any different from people who intern for record labels and do it for free? It's called an investment. Invest now, reap the benefits later. Knowledge, contacts, vinyl, etc.

... At least they are offering to pay, and mention a full time position possible in the future with benefits, etc.

Look at it for the positive, and not always the f'ing negative.

well if this is the actual job advertisement...they did throw the term "young" around as if over a certain age need not apply...I have visited the store and not all the employees that were there at the time appeared to be really young...maybe it's the wording of this advertisement...but I would apply as well...

I worked at dancetracks for almost three years loved it. Phil played that stoopid Nelly tune one day, so I took off all my clothes, where else can you get loose like that, get paid, and a serious discount on records...

first off someone should let them guys know that you can't advertise for a paying job using the words "young" - "energetic" "motivated" even "no experience necessary" im no lawyer but doesn't the word "Young" set them up for legal attack?

everyone over 30 get together its class action time!

ps- granny is smart the post office is a dope job

I just called my "laundress" and blessed her out about this job because Stefan offered to give her a shot months ago and she's been dragging her feet. She's perfect for the position. So now she's like "Yeah, I'll go down there tommorrow."

Anyway, if she gets it and you happen to be in Dance Tracks and talk to Sonya, tell her I said "I told you so!" biggrinangel.gif
