When was "Mille Plateaux" label founded ?

I thought that mille plateaux released some disco or prehouse songs in the 80's, but some people tell me that it beggan in the beginning 90's...

Am I wrong, or is there a label with a close name ?...

i think mille plateaux is also a label that released some techno stuff. alec empire used to be on there (of ATR).
