hey guys,
im really very new to all this but i have as many ron hardy tapes as i can find and man, when i heard this i just got up and danced around my room, i can't get over it, i can only imagine what it would have been like to hear this live back in the day... with ronnie at the box, you guys lucky enough to have been there really have something special, im so jelous and wish i was born 15 years earlier :/ and lived in chicago smile.gif
basically i was hoping you guys could help me out with some info ont his, as far as im aware there is a original (which is the only copy i have been able to track down) a ron hardy edit and a steve silk hurley remake too? is this correct? in regards to the later re-edits that were played at the box, is there any hope of finding full versions of these?

anyway, just wanted to say im really feeling that some 20 years later and from a whole differant generation and any help regarding information on the various forms of this track would be much appreciated

thanks guys!

ashley beedle did an edit of i cant turn around on strut and codell is right - it stinks.
youre better off asking some of the dhp people thats from chicago or was living in chicago at the time to get the real deal

Another similar want; Original version of Phuture- Acid Tracks (not the Trax Marshall Jefferson remix), oroiginal version of 'Your Love' by Knuckles/ Principle
He played em mostly off tapes though.....
Copies of copies of copies of copies of copies exist on tape in Chicago, apparently..... people do 'ave 'em

peace The edit by Beedle doesn't stink, because it is actually the same idea of editing the track as Ron Hardy used to do it. What you can say about it is that Beedle just stole the idea. And that is'nt right. Also the sound quality is'nt very good. because it is taken from a CD.
By the way, Theo Parrish also come up with edits that were already done by Ron Hardy. The love Ilost or Get Down by the Dells for example.
The whole idea of making money out of someone else' s track stinks.
What you can do is buy Chocolate Chip by Isaac Hayes (which includes I can't turn around) and try to make an edit yourself.

on the flip of the Strut is Ashley's edit of Brainstorm's 'Journey to The Light' which is very good.
