bought the body and soul4 last week and just got a chanceto play it today!

guys if you were thinking of buying these packs double check with your online retailer first or check in store.

i got one in the post last week and the grooves are that shallow the record doesnt cue correctly.
not just that overall they aint great in overall sound quality and some of the cuts are edited.

very dissapointing since they offer it in a supposedly triple dj friendy pack.

simply bad and when i asked my dealer who i got it from he said send it back and ill return your money and postage costs.

he also said i wont give you another because it will probaly be just as bad.

sort it out with your pressing plant WAVE music you just lost a good £15 and you will probably notice you will have a lot of these records returned for the same reasons.

take a leaf out of the nervous labels book.

good pressings on triples and a cheaper price as well!

Francios K i m not sure if you will read this but you might be able to shed some light on this matter.I know you are audiophile and i guess its probably not the labels fault.Probably the pressing plant fault but i thought i would post this anyways as you and record buyers in general may not be aware of this!

Hey Beani, sorry to hear about your trouble, but I've got body & soul vol. 1, 2, 4 and the only track I have a problem with is the UFO track on vol 4 (and I think that's due to a scratch I made myself... The rest are fine for me and are a pleasure to use!

mine works fine as well. it could be that you need a weight/skating adjustment.

what was the triple pack??

I am sure your copy was one that just "slipped through the net" so to speak steve it was the body and soul volume 4 triple pack.

i really wanted it because it had these on it

Fade - Solu Music feat. Kimblee
What A Surprise - Cooly's Hot Box
Rain - a Lil' Louis Painting
Father - Kenny Bobien
Earth Is The Place - Nathan haines
Star Suite - Mondo Grosso feat. Monday Michiru

when i said to the guy at juno about it he said i wont bother sending you another because it s probably the same.

pretty crappy because i really wanted those 6 cuts anyways and i really thought i had nailed it with that purchase saving myself a few quid.

to rub salt in the wounds i new that every version was the one i wanted as i had listed to the sound sample on waves site but was dissapointed to find that the vinyl was mince.

if you have a copy of this in your shop steve check out the quality and try cuing up the ct to see if there is a problem.

Every 8 minute Body&Soul LP mega mix I have done in the shop has always made a sale.

Maybe it's just your copy.

I don't think the edits that were made are much to worry about.
I expect they were more than simply an engineer making a fade at the 6 minute mark, so I doubt anyone will really notice.

That's a picture of me about to sell a copy of Body&Soul volume 4 last Saturday afternoon at the record store.

That's a picture of me about to sell a copy of Body&Soul volume 4 last Saturday afternoon at the record store. lol. no doubt jeremy.im getting another copy sent up to me so hopefully its a one off and the new copy is flawless.ive got a load of cuts from that label and ive never had any problems before.
saying that im not usually one for buying albums!

its good to hear from you and stev on this one tho,u both run stores so there is no doubt youve handled a lot of these releases. Its funny juno said to me on the phone first time round that they are probably all bad pressings. You would think they want sales?

"FK" is on the board, so I wouldn't be surprised if he stumbles across this.
