Robert "Still Waters" is the man behind the label "Music Is..."
I personally think he can cut it and his sound is very much influenced by those Detroit boys!

Easy Ron,
What's up me old china ha ha and you know I don't usually speak like that ! .
I'm glad you liked the package mate it's good to have a brother like yourself into and supporting forward thinking progressive dance music and last night was a little progressive as well but more about that in a in a mo .
Yeah when you have a moment to go threw those old boxes like you mentioned a few Choice audio choices no pun intended would be well apreciated .
On to Last night..
I had a great night personally got to Plastic's around midnight and there was already a healthy crowd outside at that time . At that time Robert Still Waters was playing a mix of contemporary house and classics warming up the crowd . I heard Laurent X - Machines there the only other dj I've heard play that apart from me on my birthday a couple of years ago .
Theo came on around 1am starting off with a real nice jazz track "sorry no title" to busy getting down he rocked alot of classics which went down with the crowd inc Herbie Hancock - I thought it was you , Trussel - Love Injection , LTD - Party Harty or did Slave do that track ? , His new edit id Loose Joint - Is it all over my face -cheers John for info I like that one . Ann Clark - Our Darkness re-edit .A very tasty remix of De La's - Stakes is high some early Chicago business sounded like Gene Hunt . Unlike alot of the male contingent who go out in London any way , I tend to not face the dj or just stand on the dancefloor . Every one is entitled to do what they want but it's a shame when those who are dancing find the only space is in the corner of the club because the floor is so packed with people just standing there .
Pevin everett - I can't believe I loved her sounded as great as it always does and one of the highlights was the new Sound Signature release as well as some other new stuff he has done which was really bugged out .
Hats off to Theo for dropping a real nice stevie cut at the end as well and a slow jam with the lyrics just say yes and I'll undress you , I had the pleasure of having a slow dance with a little lady on that and all I can say is he should of played the extended version ha ha .. .
Theo got a great applause from the crowd and it all ended around 4am or so .
A good night next is Questlove once again Mar 29th and Spinna the week after .
Peace Alex . ;)

hi. i got down there quite late, but it was a really great night. i know what you mean about people standing - there seemed some really die-hard people who stood in front of the booth all night and then whipped out a record for theo to sign. i've never seen that before. does any one know what the track was he played before the applause that sounded a bit like stevie wonder and was on about the "music". it sounded fantastic, and the one he finished with, where he stopped and turned it over to play the other side while everyone was leaving.
best wishes

Alex, Simon good to see you down there alongside other friends & faces. Charles Earland's Murilley played 2nd from last was a head-down footwork-out. Theo's new jams running off CDR were treats, the second of which got us looking at each other with just a little of that look when you're surprised by something you've never heard which sounds so good it's like every second is fresh and new. Lil Louis How I Feel was feeling fine with me!
now where can I find a copy of the Rich Medina/Kemetic Just I slept on first time round?
peace
