People are paying top dollar for Moodymann stuff on eBay. Same thing with the Theo Parrish white labels. Watch out for bootleggers!

The whole thing was limited to 400 copies and released through Peacefrog'S "Private Pressings" series.

I can't wait to make wicked tracks and take the living piss out of people by making 76 copies of it. That'll be it.

I notice there is a (UK?) bootleg of 'Shades of Jae' going around with the rare b-side that samples carl craig's "Suspiria" too.

Exactly.
MM should sue their asses.
At this point, I can't understand, why he lets other peopel make HIS money. It's just a question of time until they will rip KDJ 1 or KDJ2. Oh yes, I know that he is an artists and it's his decision and blah, blah, blah...

Peace.

The problem is:

(A) how do you find and then prove who has done bootlegging, and

(B) trying to take someone in another country to court = $$$$$$!

...and it's no wonder this shit gets bootlegged when places like Rushhour are charging almost 20 Euros (!) for new release theo parrish re-edits - which are not even offically licensed from the original artist (and probably just a recording of him rocking two copies of some old dusties LP) anyway!

what a f*cking joke! graemlins/cussing.gif

Regarding Rushhour...is it them or him that are charging too much?

Peace.

(A) might be hard but I'm sure that several producers that have been bootlegged can prove who has done it... and if those that CAN prove it actually do file a law suit against the bootleggers, it probably will have a deterring effect. Law might not always work but it sure would cut down on bootlegging.

(B) is always a problem but there might be a solution. Hell, at this point, I'd throw a party four weeks in a row and use the cash made during those parties to file a law suit graemlins/rofl.gif
