peace
I was a little bit sceptical, but it was great to hear all these classics played by the master himself...Damn, Rodgers isnt' burnt out yet, and that bass player he has is equally impressive..I was not to impressed by the two singers though..At least not by their voices..

About 3 years ago i seen a documentary on the Black Panthers called 'Power to the People', Which had excellent interviews with Bobby Seale,Kathleen Cleaver(Eldridge Cleavers wife)and Nile Rodgers(Who was a Former Black Panther in the early 70's in the New York Chapter Uptown/Harlem), Nile Rodgers mentioned in full detail the everyday duties of the Panthers from its Breakfest program for the children in the community(Which the media never focuses on/Why is that-KRS-One), To Policing the community from the cops(Yeah, You Know the time with that), To the Drug Dealers(The Panthers actually robbed the Drug Dealers and flushed the drugs down the toilet, Trying to get rid of the cats who were well-known for selling bricks(Drugs)back in the 60's and early 70's, In New York, For anyone who wants to know more about the Black Panthers, There are three books that you can look for that gives you a very good account on what the Panthers stood for and the theme of the movement, The books are, 'Soul on Ice', By Eldridge Cleaver and 'Seize the time', by Bobby Seale, And 'This side of Glory',The Story of the Black Panthers, By David Hilliard(Former Panther who held a top position in the Oakland Chapter in the late 60's/Early 70's). Also, Does Anyone know whatever happened to Norma Jean Wright(One of the Singers for chic), And 'High Society', Fame in 1980.
